Rated 3 out of 5 by from They look great and shipping They look great and shipping was great. But after owning a pair of work boots that were really comfortable and helped my feet and back while I was on my feet for roughly 5-10 miles a day. But unfortunately they didn't last long. So in my new job as a salesman in a gun shop I decided to get these thinking they would be awesome. Unfortunately they are very hard soled. Comfortable for the most part but after days on end on a concrete floor they hurt more then other shoes I have tried. So, sorry danner. This will be the end of our relationship as I don't feel I have gotten my moneys worth. Thanks for trying though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Danner low Jag hiker The Danner low Jag hiker for men awesome! I I would recommend these to anybody that's looking for a casual shoe, an over-the-top hiker, or something to put on anytime of the week! I was so happy with these I turned around and bought an 8-inch pair of moccasin toe Bull Runs, for work, to finish up my list. Danner is by far one of the best American shoe companies out there, and I own many other American brands, but one thing will remain as is, I will always be a Danner boot\ shoe consumer. Thank you Danner for putting out a quality product! Whether it's hiking, work, or hunting look no further.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from They are well made. From They are well made. From the top view of the shoe, they look a little long and narrow, and the toe shape could be at a slightly larger radius.. nonetheless, that’s just my preference. They are comfortable and quiet while walking in.. that’s a huge plus. Also, they are lighter than I expected, yet still feel substantial as a shoe. The lacing is a breeze with the d rings and high quality laces. They’re easy to get on and off. Mine came with light and dark brown laces.. I went with the dark, however, if I were tryna ball out I’d throw on the light ones for a lil extra drip.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Weekend hike sole separation Not sure if I would recommend these shoes. I wore them for a few weeks on neighborhood walks and they were comfortable as everyone has reported, but the rubber started to separate from both shoes at the toe after my first weekend taking them on an overnight camping trip which involved some light hiking. Danner did step in and I’m in the process of returning them. Maybe I bought a pair of them that uniquely had this issue. My other pair of Danners are fishing wading boots and are amazing. Going to see if the replacement pair is better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super comfortable shoes [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They were a nice surprise. I’m a Danner fan but didn’t like another walking shoe I recently bought so was a little hesitant on these. Turns out I got these delivered just before we left for vacation. Unluckily, I screwed up my Achilles tendon and all my normal boots and shoes hurt too much to wear. These Jag Lows were so comfortable out of the gate, I basically wore these and hybrid slipper shoes most of the trip. The are light on the feet but have enough of a sole that they feel sufficient. More meat on the sole than my non waterproof Trail 2650’s if that makes sense. They have more shine than I was expecting on the breathable parts but I needed a little more pizzazz in my footwear. Bottom line: I like ‘em!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from great shoe, terrible insole I have had multiple pair of dinner shoes, including the jag high tops (fantastic). These are my newest pair and while the shoe itself is wonderful, made to the quality I expected, these are about a 1/3 the age of even my jag highs, but the insole is completely shot already. My feet are killing me after about 40 minutes. I don't know if the quality changed or I got a bad batch, but I would recommend new, better insoles for these, and to factor that into the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE THIS SHOE!!!!! I have worn these for almost a year. EVERY DAY!I just ordered my second pair (see below for details)!! The fitment is excellent (10.5D was true to size for the person always going up from 10 to 11 and struggling what exactly to order wo being there in person). The soles have great grip and have barely detiorated. Im buying my second pair because I need to have a fresh office friendly set that isn't stained, covered in glue, charcoal, dog vomit etc!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These shoes look great and These shoes look great and are built solid. I like the Earth/Goblin Blue color and lace combo so much that I bought a second pair. I've worn them almost daily since first purchasing them in June 2020. They're great for easy hikes and walks. The sole is still in great shape. Overall wear and tear is normal for this type of shoe. The one area for improvement is the insole. It's fine, but I've considered replacing it with something customized.

Danner builds boots for their intended use. You'll find that our styles fit differently depending on how they should perform in the field.

-Right out of the box your hiking boots should feel somewhat snug on the sides of your feet (you aren't sliding side-to-side) with a little room at the toes (you don't want your toes to touch the tip of the boot just standing on flat ground).

-Make sure when you walk your heel doesn't slide up the back of the boot substantially.

-Make sure that you aren't feeling any pinching or pain while walking around your house. If you feel pinching at your big or little toe you probably need a wider boot or perhaps a larger size.

-Your work boots should match the anatomical make-up of your foot, widening slightly in the toe-box for a secure platform to stand on.

-Right out of the box you should feel comfort, cushion and support underfoot, for long days on your feet.

-You may feel that they're slightly stiff or snug right out of the box, but after a few weeks of break-in they should move easier at the flex points and conform to your foot, fitting like a glove.
