Beautiful and functionalI love these boots!
Quality and craftsmanship are great. The sand color is a nice neutral that I can wear with jeans, chinos, skirts, etc. I do find that the seam between the exterior forefoot and heel, where the goring is sewn in has rubbed right below my ankle joint(but that’s my foot, I must have a lower set ankle than most?). It’s where 3 pieces of material come together so there’s a bulky seam in the interior. I wear a small bandaid and then it’s ok. Anyway, I might need to file the seam allowance down but I’m hoping to just wear it down. The shoes are super comfortable except for that seam bit and have held up nicely even in snow and stuff.

ObSESSED.[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been eyeing these Danners for MONTHS, and with my birthday approaching figured I'd splurge on myself and finally pull the trigger on them. I AM SO GLAD I DID. They are everything I hoped for and more! I am a very true 7.5 (38 EUR) in pretty much every shoe I've ever worn (and if only whole sizes are offered I generally get a 7), so I ordered both the 7 and 7.5 based on the reviews. The 7.5 fit PERFECTLY with a pair of Stance quarter height hiking socks, which are probably the thickest socks I'd wear with these boots. I have narrow feet and a high arch, and these boots feel super supportive (and NARROW - if you have wide feet, I'd suggest a half size UP). I've only worn them a couple hours around the house but am literally giddy to wear them out and about. I am an avid hiker/trailer runner and camper, so these are going to be PERFECT for all our generic outdoor adventures where I want some weatherproofing, but also comfort and style. Already looking to buy them in black, and get the hubby a pair too!

I’m liking this shoe theI’m liking this shoe the more I wear it. The leather/construction seems top notch; the last and fit are also pretty good right out of the box for a leather shoe. I have slightly wider foot but “wides” tend to be too wide. I think the last on this one will break in nicely to accommodate a light/medium cushion sock and my slightly wide feet. If you have narrow feet you could probably still wear this shoe, might just need to adjust socks/insole as it breaks in. As I’ve worn them, the leather is breaking in nicely and I like the supportive lacing placements. I haven’t yet worn on a longer 5+ hike yet but I like the outsole - it’s been good on ice and snow. Overall it feels like a sturdier option compared to some of the more tennis shoe styles and I’m excited to break it in on the trails after snow season.

good looking very uncomfortableI had high hopes for these boots. Hearing so much about Danner boots, I decided to give these a try. The boot is very good looking, love the color, although there isn't any cushioning around the ankle of the boot. I thought after wearing them for a week indoors they were the comfortable, but once I wore them for an hour walk, my ankles were seriously sore and tender. Also the toe of the boot curls up and this can become uncomfortable. Very expensive boot, not great :(

Got these for my partnerGot these for my partner as a gift.
Her Rate: 9 out of 10.
Con: dug into one ankle bone where the elastic meets the leather and left a blister.
Went to yosemite for a hike and she loved them. They were comfortable minus the blister, they looked great, Laces stay tied.
She sprayed them with waterproofing spray just to protect the light color and it worked nicely. We stomped thru the snow.
She wears an 8 I bought an 8. It fits perfect.

I love these shoes. I'veI love these shoes. I've only hiked a few short (around 4 miles) hikes so far, but wearing the shoes all day my feet are comfortable. Ordered a half size down from my running shoe/the same size as my every day shoe, and that is fine. These shoea are exactly what I wanted - something stylish I'd be thrilled to wear around town, but also impressively functional, with gortex uppers and vibram soles. I hope these will last me at least a decade!

I actually purchased these forI actually purchased these for work, I wasn't terribly sure what to expect, but upon arrival I put them on and found them comfortable requiring very little break in.
Now, a couple of weeks in, these boots are my go to for any running around, after break in they seem to have formed to my feet, and I feel like I am walking on clouds!
I will definitely be purchasing other Danners in the future, this company has won a lifelong customer!

Good Boot, Small SizingI was looking for a well constructed and comfortable boot for working in my metal shop all day. I really like the lightweight style of these boots. I added a different insole (the Fatigue Fighter) and they are perfect. I bought my usual size (6) and they were really tight with boot socks. I prefer to wear them all year round for wicking. I had to go up one full size to fit right, but now they are like a glove.

HOW SHOULD MY BOOTS FIT?
Danner builds boots for their intended use. You'll find that our styles fit differently depending on how they should perform in the field.
Hiking -Right out of the box your hiking boots should feel somewhat snug on the sides of your feet (you aren't sliding side-to-side) with a little room at the toes (you don't want your toes to touch the tip of the boot just standing on flat ground).
-Make sure when you walk your heel doesn't slide up the back of the boot substantially.
-Make sure that you aren't feeling any pinching or pain while walking around your house. If you feel pinching at your big or little toe you probably need a wider boot or perhaps a larger size.
Work -Your work boots should match the anatomical make-up of your foot, widening slightly in the toe-box for a secure platform to stand on.
-Right out of the box you should feel comfort, cushion and support underfoot, for long days on your feet.
-You may feel that they're slightly stiff or snug right out of the box, but after a few weeks of break-in they should move easier at the flex points and conform to your foot, fitting like a glove.
