[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been wearing the full-cushion 1/4 socks for hiking for several years and want to try switching over from cotton socks to these for daily wear. I know they're supposed to be tight, but man they're tight. They're so tight at the bottom of the ribs on the top of my foot I'm almost wondering if they're defective. I ordered another pair of no cushion crew socks and I want to see how they feel. I'm going to wear them a few more times (they are getting better) before returning them to DT. On a positive note, they do not smell at all at the end of the day.

The extension of the footbed cushion to the Achilles removes provides incredible comfort no matter the shoes. Any concern of heel rub is a thing of the past. The snug fit, breathable panels and seamless construction makes for an all around perfect sock for long distance hiking or high exertion activities where feet might otherwise get sweaty. They don’t slouch or stretch with extended wear and resist odor. I use these, the hiker cushion micro crew and 1/4 hikers constantly. These are not the warmest socks, but that’s not their intention and for a comfortable, durable active sock for backpacking or even running, these are perfect.

Socks are one of that last things I thought to try out/improve and sure glad I did. The quality of this sock is Next Level and unbelievably comfortable. I have not yet had to try out their lifetime warranty but I don't have a doubt they would honor it. I've already bought more!

I'm giving up on the major competitor (rhymes with FartPull) after I kept wearing them out. So glad I gave the Darn Tough's a try! I've already put a little over 20 miles on them and they have kept my feet cool and dry. Highly recommended!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought Darn Tough hiker socks for the first time last year and loved them so much I am trying to replace all of my old socks with these. They are breathable, not itchy, and extremely comfortable. I also have a few pairs of Smartwool socks which are good, but these are by far my favorite, especially for hiking. Try them, you won't regret it.

He has been wearing them on training hikes anywhere from 8-13 miles at a time with a full heavy backpack on. They fit great and he has had no blisters or hot spots on his feet. Would deffantly recommend.
