Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable, comfy, and colorful [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had been wearing only Smartwools for hiking for years until I was given a pair if Darn Tough socks. They have held up so well for over a year that I decided to buy a few pair. Compared to the Smartwool hikers I would say Darn Tough is a touch less stretching and a touch tougher, it feels more like a hug. In hiking socks, Darn Tough has better colors. The women's Hiker Boot is about the same crew height as the Smartwool hiker. With many socks that I buy, I have to cut off the band at the top because they are too tight. That is not a problem with either of thse hiking socks. I will continue buying both brands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I will never hike in anything but Darn Tough Socks [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These socks were amazing! Never knew I could love socks so much. Hiked the Zion Narrows in these socks- they held up incredibly well- they were soaking wet, but still felt great and provided good support. We each bought three pairs and made a special trip to the laundromat in the middle of our trip to ensure we would be able to wear these instead of the other socks we purchased for the final three hikes.

They give so much comfort on your feet and keeps your feet from sliding within the shoe if that makes sense. I think you can keep your nails with this one even when you are just breaking your hiking shoes in. Hahaha Got a pair as gifts for my sister.

If you have cold toes and don’t want to wear multiple pairs of socks in the winter, then this is what you need. I wore these with my winter hiking boots in Iceland, and was toasty warm. I like them better than my smartwool ski socks.

Alas, once they arrived, I tried them on, and much to my surprise, they fit perfectly. I ordered a size L, and they fit a US 11 perfectly. I love the fit, warmth, and cushion of the socks. Would happily purchase again, and recommend to others.

We’ve tried other wool blend socks but our feet sweat and get cold. The darn tough brand of socks have literally been life changing. Our feet may sweat, but they don’t get cold. And the extra cushion is so nice!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried many other wool sock brands that claim to last forever but every time 'forever' comes too soon. Not with Darn Tough. They are comfortable, do not move over the course of hiking all day and seemingly do last forever!
