Product Reviews
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Performs brilliantly on technical terrain I used this pack on a variety of climbs (rock, ice, and glacier), and I absolutely love the way this pack carries. On technical terrain it is a dream. It is streamlined which means it carries well, where my previous packs would start to rub under a heavy load the Guide 40+ SL never rubbed and the weight stayed off my shoulders no matter how much I overloaded it. When leading on ice it never hindered my movements, in fact I forgot I was wearing a pack all together. The two ice tool attachments work smoothly and allows you to access your tools easily. I also used the built-in sit pad on several occasions to keep my butt of the snow, and when I got caught out in heavy rains the water resistant material did a great job at keep my things dry inside. While I like the idea of gear-loops on the waist strap, it would be good if one side was a pocket instead for easy access to items such as lip-balm and sunscreen. A water bottle pocket on the outside of the pack would also be useful. Other than that, I love this pack!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Pack for Almost Everything It has loops! It has a side zipper to access the middle contents! I can stuff a pair of flip-flops in the ski holders until I learn to ski and use them as intended! It is made with nylon rip-stop, meaning I can cram the heck out of it with cams when I head to Indian Creek and I know its durable enough to handle it. I can also weigh it down with a computer, photo equipment and books and use it as a carry-on when I fly to Europe every summer. I take this backpack by bicycle to the supermarket and fill it with groceries. I carry a small highline setup in it sometimes, packing all the hardware inside and throwing my slackline on top, cinching down the straps to hold it in place. It's the perfect size to be heavy and yet not diminish your maneuverability. Hanging off rocky outcroppings to set up a highline means I need full range of movement. The body-hugging design helps keep the weight close to the middle of my back, and the shoulder straps are wide and padded, meaning when weighted it is as comfortable as possible. When I'm not carrying a lot of equipment I stuff the brain inside the pack and cinch the drawstring and the pack is two-thirds of the original size. As a summer backpacking pack, I can shove my sleeping bag in the bottom and my clothes, stove and food in the middle and I still have space for my ukulele in the side strap. What I want you to depart from this review with is this: This is the best all-around pack you could ask for. Alpine. Climbing Gym. Traveling. Groceries. Trekking. You name it. I use it for all of them, and the comfort is unbeatable. Some people focus heavily on weight; but if a pack is comfortable the extra material is well worth it. But take heed; you will have this pack for years, I have yet to destroy one.

Size Guide

Deuter Women's Packs

Deuter technical and backpacking packs are offered in One Size for each volume, and feature an adjustable torso range. Please check the PRODUCT FEATURES and / or SPECIFICATIONS for the torso range measurements of a pack, and follow the steps below to determine your torso size.

Deuter hipbelts are adjustable to accommodate most any wearer.

HOW to MEASURE TORSO SIZE
1. Put your chin to your chest and feel for the big bone protruding on your neck at the top of your spine. That's the C7 vertebra.

2. Feel your hip bone, the top part of this is your iliac crest. Find the spot on your back that is level with the top of this crest.

3. Have someone measure the distance between these two points, following the contours of your spine.
