Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great overall short! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been looking for shorts that have a shorter inseam. Many of the mtn bike shorts I see have too long of an inseam for me. That is what drew me to this first. I wish the purple was available, but I settled for black. I love these shorts for many reasons. First, no Velcro!!! Main reason I hate Velcro is because if I forget to strap it back together, it ruins my other clothes in the wash. There is a small pocket with Velcro on the side leg, but it's something I wouldn't use. At first I thought there were too many pockets, but realized they are not all pockets; there are air vents on the sides which is awesome to me. The pockets in the front are small but not too small. I can fit a pack of Clif shots or Skratch blocks in for easy assess. The other awesome thing about these shorts is they detach! Another huge benefit for me. When trying them on, I was unsure about how high up I felt they sat while attached. But when I unsnapped the inner liner, everything fell into place. (I have ridden with it snapped and unsnapped and didn't notice a difference). These shorts didn't move around at all on the trail while getting on and off the bike. There are 2 snaps, a hook and a zipper at the front along with an adjustable belt. They are also made with a very durable material. I can't see them ripping easily. They also help block the wind. My concern with such a heavy duty material is how will they breathe? I haven't had a chance to test that yet since it's only April but I wonder how they will feel in August with the heat. I would purchase more if they had more colors. I highly recommend these shorts if you like a shorter inseam, durable material, and a detachable liner.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bulky I don't know how so many people like these shorts. They are bulky, extremely unflattering, and not that comfortable. I am 5'5, 128lbs and I got a Small. There is so much material in the back that poofs out. Its like there is too much outer short material all the way around. The padded inside short fit fine.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from These shorts have zero stretch in the legs. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not a fan. The fabric is totally stiff, zero stretch in the legs and a weird panel above your butt that is stretchy. The sizing is ok for a girl with thighs like me, but it was very strange that they were so stiff.
