[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Previously swore by the Five Ten Blackwing but since they don't make them anymore I needed to look for a new shoe. Settled on the Shakras and love them, they are very comfortable (as comfortable as an aggressivish shoe can be), and they are great at holding onto tiny foot nubs and holding on for heel hooks. I've used them for bouldering and sport climbing both in the gym and outdoors. No problems so far. Also, the sizing was true to street shoe for me and I like my shoes to fit like a tight sock.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bouldering shoes for the money This is my second pair of Shakras. These have more rubber over the toe than the previous ones and toe hook better. They feel quite a bit stiffer too (but maybe my old ones were really broken down). I wish they still had three straps but these only have 2. They run small, and even smaller in this newer model. I have narrow feet, a 7 street shoe and 8 in these is very tight. Previous were 7.5 which I ordered first but had to return them - too small.

I wear a street shoe 6 and had to go up two sizes to an 8 for a “semi aggressive” fit. This is perfect for a long gym session. Even with my toes slightly curled, after 4 hours in these shoes my feet are still comfortable.

I feel like I can climb anything with them on - perfect combination of edge and responsiveness… I only wear them in the gym, tho - because I want them to last forever!!!
