Could be better.5 stars for effectiveness.
1) Size runs larger than expected.
2) These pants are very warm and do not breathe very well. Did I say warm?
3) These are supposed to be a tick, bug barrier - but there is no way to gather the ankles. As I stated above. I use treated gators. Otherwise I think this is a big negative.
These pants need to be improved. Better fit, breathability. A loop to go under the foot and drawstring to gather the ankles would make these awesome.

Heavier than previousThese are still great pants. First pairs I bought in 2008. They are beginning to wearn thin, though they were shelved mostly for about 10 years. Still, even five or so years of serious outdoor use is exceptional.
My greatest compliant, second to not providing an insectcide-free option, is that the fabric used now (versus in 2008) is much heavier. This is an advantage in terms of durability, but these are first and foremost a hot weather pant advertised as lightweight; making them heavier runs somewhat counter to the intent, at least for this consumer. I tend to wear pants like these during the year's hottest days, so this pair will be in reserve for 'second hottest days'. If hot temperatures and comfort are major considerations, check out the vented Sandfly paints; they won't disappoint.

DisappointedDisappointed. I wore these backpacking. The pants zippers rubbed my knees raw. A 32" waist was around 34". The back pocket zippers are narrow and provide teeth that scrapes your hand when you try to dig something out of the deep pockets. Nice material though

Only Even sizesIf you wear an off size like me, this product is not for you. I am a perfect size 35, and these come in sizes 34 or 36. The older pairs had elastic in the waistline, so the 34’s worked. However, the newer ones do not have elastic, and the size 36 are simply too large, and the 34’s too small.

Very cool pantsThese are great feeling pants that are light and comfortable. Fit is good. They will make good fly fishing pants either alone or under waders. They will also be great for any mountain or wilderness adventure.

Nice pantsThese pants fit me fine. My only issue is access to the cargo pocket, which is a two-handed operation to unzip, making it somewhat inconvenient.

Great pants - loose waistVery happy with these (grey 36L) Replacement for previous EX O pants that lasted over 10 years! They fit well but are a bit big at waist (am 6'2" 205lbs - 32" inseam). Levis originals 36" button fly jeans are snug - these require a belt. Love the zippers at bottom inside of legs to accomodate various shoe types and discreet side zipper pocket -eliminates the cargo pants look (and work with golf course dress code). These hang/rest comfortably...Unable to make additional question work.
