Ex Offico Sol Cool
Ex Offico Sol Cool uses Icefil technology to keep you cool and comfortable in hot climates. The compound Xylitol, which occurs naturally in the birch tree, is woven into fabric. When it comes into contact with moisture like sweat, it reacts, creating a cooling sensation similar to mint gum. Xylitol can cool the skin surface up to 5°F

Product Reviews
Rated 1 out of 5 by from So Disappointed These used to be my favorite summer hiking pants. The new styling is a big disappointment. The center seam down the front leg is not only annoying, but is not flattering. The rise is WAY too low. This is a pant for active women! I don't want my butt crack showing every time I lean over on the trail. The inseam is too short - there are some tall women out there! I am 5'9" and need a 34-35" inseam! Two-side pockets would be preferable. Both in travel and backpacking, I could care less about back pockets, actually prefer not to have them. The only redeeming qualities that remain are the super lightweight fabric, great for summer hiking, and that they can be rolled into capri-length.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Now have bad pockets I've been buying Nomad pants for at least 5 years. I like the comfortable fit and fabric that breathes.I also loved the long pocket on the side seam. It was the right size for a phone, yet is out of the way. I was dismayed to see that the design has been changed, and now the long pocket has moved towards the front of the thigh. With an iPhone 6 in the pocket, it's uncomfortable, and bulges unattractively. I'm returning this pair, and hoping the design changes back before my old pairs are completely worn out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad Choices on New Style I have several pairs of the older style of this pant. I love them! Very cool for summer hiking, yet have worn well. The new style with this center seam down the front, way lower rise (really? who wants to bend over on the trail and show a crack like a plummer?), and what seems to be a shorter inseam are a big disappointment. Exofficio, return to the older, yet better, style!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad pockets! Please, please, please bring back the old Nomad style -- with the pocket on the side. They were PERFECT to hold a phone out of the way, comfortably. That pocket would safely hold pair of pruning shears, too. These are uncomfortable, and unflattering.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fit proportions wrong I am 5’1 and generally wear a 12-14 pant. The rise on these pants is too low for my body. Nothing in the description indicates rise. Also the legs are way too wide and of course too long. Had to return.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The bottom is way too wide The pant looks nice on the picture but when you wear it, the bottom of the pant is way too wide, I look like a dancer. So it went back to the store.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from cargo pockets [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the cargo pockets being on a side seam as it makes the pants a lot more formal looking. Great for pool parties. Fabric is still wrinkled when coming out of drier and needs pressing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed The seams down the front of the legs mean that there is no lengthwise give on these pants. It feels very awkward and borderline uncomfortable. I like having so many pockets.
