Durable Water Repellent
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.
Exped backpacks are designed and built to fit an array of body types and sizes. Adjustable should straps make their backpacks suitable for a torso size range, and that info can be found in the PRODUCT FEATURES and / or SPECIFICATIONS. You can use the steps below to determine your torso size.
Exped hipbelts are adjustable to accommodate most any wearer.
HOW to MEASURE TORSO SIZE
Use a measuring tape to measure the distance between the top edge of the shoulders or C7 vertebrae (the one that protrudes when facing down) to the top crest of the hip bone (pelvis).
A rough guide to pack sizing and torso lengths:
• Medium (M) = 48 - 52 cm / 19 - 20.5 inch
• Long (L) = 53 - 58 cm / 21 - 23 inch
Even the most elaborate suspension system can only work perfectly when fitted correctly! And as no two backs are identical, we recommend testing backpacks with sample weights in an outdoor speciality shop.
