Five Ten C4

Five Ten C4
Five Ten Stealth C4 is a sticky rubber found on climbing and approach shoes. It's fairly hard and built for edging and hard friction so you won't slip when it matters most. Gives your feet much needed extra traction on technical routes.

Product Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An amazing technical face shoe I'm pretty much fully committed to the 5.10 line now. I got this after making the Anasazi VCS my primary shoe and love it. It feels more precise with better edging though also smears incredible well once it's worn in. I also have the Blanco in my arsenal for super difficult edges. From slab to vert and even slight overhang this is my go to shoe on difficult routes. Not he best for bouldering. For bouldering I use Scarpa Instinct VS. I size the pink, and all my Anasazi shoes, at US 6.5. I wear a street shoe in size 8. PROS: Amazing and precise all around shoe. CONS: Sole wears quickly and heel has some dead space but it doesn't seem to impede performance.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Five Ten - Anasazi Bought these shoes a few months back. I didn't use them all too often initially but in these past few months I've started using them more frequently than my La Sportiva Mythos (super comfortable). I like them. They are comfortable to wear, and I can keep them on without having to take them off while at the gym (~3-4 hours). They aren't as comfortable as my La Sportiva Mythos, but pretty close. It is not as breathable as my Mythos, and also no smell!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Technical-Footwork Shoe This isn't quite an all-around shoe. Sure it will do the steep, pocketed sport climbs or horizontal boulder problems, but there are better shoes for that. And plenty of shoes climb cracks really well, as does this one. But step on a route which requires technical footwork and this is your shoe. I wouldn't say that a shoe makes the difference of how well you climb, but there is a mental factor I suppose that made me hop up 5.10 slabs with ease when stronger climbers were getting Elvis-legs, calling for take at clip-ins and such while wearing Katanas (which I'd recommend for sport and boulders, primarily) on slabs. It is not sensitive, but I have the opinion that in slab climbing most of the weight is on your feet, so you'd appreciate the stiffness of the soles. And they are great at smearing features and edging miniscule edges as they have a very high-friction sticky feel to them. They are very comfortable and I haven't noticed discomfort, having ordered a 8.5 when I normally float between 8.5 and 9s in shoes. I wish I had gone a half-size smaller- they felt as though they were what I had hoped at first, but they stretched more than I thought. When I have to replace them, I hope these are still around so I can drop another half-size. Bottom line, great shoe for technical footwork, slabs, edging, smearing and trad, primarily.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all-around climbing shoe The Five Ten Anasazi Lace Up is a classic all-around climbing shoe for outdoor trad climbing, indoor top roping, and bouldering applications. I went with US size 11, a moderate half size down from my running shoe size (US 11.5). They are tight without causing blisters or hot spots. The moderate asymmetry allows for flexibility between moderate indoor and outdoor climbing applications.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great All-around shoe! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these shoes about a month ago, searching for an all-day trad shoe. I have a women's size 8 street shoe and bought these in a 6.5 (men's). The shoes are sized to a "comfort fit" and I am able to wear these with or without socks. So far, I am really impressed by the edging capabilities and comfort. The heel cup is bit big for my foot and wished I had sized down a half size. Would buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shoe [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’re a little stiff to wear in the beginning, but we’re very easy to break in and became very comfortable. The laces make it easier to fit on someone that has narrow feet. Overall great shoe.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad fit. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is only a one star rating because the shoe did not fit my foot very well. I know many people that love them, but the leather came up to far on my ankle bone. It would’ve been painful to climb in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these shoes! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent all around shoe. It's particularly good for edging and smearing, but works surprisingly well on underclings and toe holds.Lace ups allow for a super snug fit without wearing two sizes too small.
