The G-1000 Silent Eco fabric is durable, wind-resistant and quiet. Featuring sustainable insulation made from Swedish wool, it warms even when wet. If you need a little more protection against wet weather, you can impregnate the exterior with Greenland Wax (sold separately).

Great jacket! My favorite Fjallraven one![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just breaking this in for a trip to UK in October. Thin padded makes in warm but light. G1000 is amazing material. Many functional pockets and hand warmers. Highly recommend!

Nice coat, mixed feelings[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great looking jacket, and that is exactly why I bought it - I couldn't be happier with the way it looks, and I've worn it everyday since I got it. That being said, I do have some misgivings about it. First, and most importantly, the fit is a little off. I am 6', 185lbs, of average build. I bought a large, and the jacket gets really tight through the shoulders if I stretch out my arms, and the sleeves ride up a few inches past my wrists. With just casual use it fits great, but if you are attempting to get active it may not be the coat for you. Also, while it is warm enough for most temperatures, if you're in the mid 30's or below don't expect it to keep you comfortable without a couple layers (which only make the fit tighter). If you want a nice looking jacket for casual use, I highly recommend. If you want this coat to compliment a wide range of activities, you might want to look elsewhere. If you are a larger guy, run from this and don't look back. I'm giving it 4 stars because I really like it and the fit is fine for my purposes, but as I said if you are looking for more than just a casual jacket you might want to consider something else.

Sleeves are short[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to love this coat, but ultimately had to return it because the sleeves were too short. I'm 6'2". If you aren't on the two side I would recommend it. I do wish the finish was crisp (sorry, lacking a better adjective) than the soft brushed feel as it seems that it might become a lint magnet. That said, I still really liked it.

Warm, comfortable and a great look![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this for my birthday, great fit and great comfort, and the bonus that the Swedish flag is on the side! Like so many of the products in Sweden and Scandinavia, they are well aware of what it takes to be comfortable in cold weather, this jacket is no exception!

FJALLRAVEN FIT NOTES All you need is a tape measure! Ask a friend to take your measurements while standing in a straight and relaxed position without shoes. Remember that the tape measure should not be pulled too tight around the body but not be too loose either.
Avoid bulky clothes For the most accurate result, you should be measured wearing only your undergarments or close-fitting clothing, for example, a base layer. It's not a good idea to measure yourself wearing jeans, sweaters or other bulky clothing.
HOW to MEASURE ARM LENGTH: Bend the elbow slightly, then measure from the centre back of the neck, over the shoulder to the elbow, and down to the wrist.
CHEST: Measure straight under your arms around your body at the fullest part of your chest.
WAIST: Measure around your waist at the narrowest part.
SEAT: Standing with your feet hip-width apart, measure around your hips at the widest part.
