Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good with a few oddities This is my first purchase from Fjallraven. Overall I like it. The jacket fabric is very thin, so it's more like a shell without any additional layers or insulation. And the fabric is not waterproof, just lightly waxed so it is water resistant. I have purchased the greenland wax to add more wax to it. The fit is slim around the waist which is what I wanted...I'm 5'10" 165lbs and fit, the medium is good, if I had a bigger gut I'd probably want large. But here's the thing...the arms on this are very long, at least 2-3" longer than I need. And I don't have short arms. That and the material being thinner than I thought is where I subtract one star.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great, except in rain I really like this jacket as a workweek thing for my commute in Seattle. It looks great and I'm sure it will last forever. However, and this important, it's NOT a rain coat. Take the marketing language about it being fine in a "light shower" seriously. Despite repeated waxing, the hood and shoulders wet through (water running down my head, shoulders of my shirt wet) in about 15 minutes of even moderate rain. Heavy rain is a disaster. You'll need an umbrella for rain. Don't be fooled by all the photos of models wearing Fjallraven stuff in fog and rain-tinged settings. You can bet it's not actually raining in those pics.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Jacket I bought this jacket a month ago after trying it on at a Fjallraven store. The jacket runs a little large as I almost could fit into a small at 190 lbs and 6ft. I settled with a medium and it fits very nicely, not too tight across the shoulders and back as many jackets are. I use this jacket fishing and hiking in the back country of Vermont. Even the g1000 light is tough enough to push through thick woods without being fazed by sharp branches. This is the jacket I have been looking for, good looking and functional, tough material, waterproof (add more wax for heavy rain) and not too heavy. Bought in the dark olive color, very nice and could serve well as a hunting jacket in some situations. Hood is large and has good structure but can also be sinched down in two directions. I will definately be buying from Fjallraven again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for tall people Sizing is a little unusual for this jacket. I am 6'3" and 180lb (long and skinny) and the large is a good fit. The sleeves are unusually long which is great for my long arms. Even a medium might fit but maybe too short. XL would be too big and baggy. The jacket is light weight and thin so good for cool weather, not freezing weather. Seems to be very well made. Lots of pockets. Stylish. Last note: the dark olive looks more brown than green. Some photos online of this color show a much more olive green. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome lightweight jacket. For the tl;dr - This jacket is awesome. There are lots of reviews about how this jacket has arms that are way too long. But that's what the buttons are for on the wrist. So as long as you know how to operate a simple button mechanism, fear not. Light rain is about all I would take this jacket in, as standing water will begin to soak in. Great in windy conditions, big enough to wear under layers, yet slim enough to not fit like a tent. I've really got nothing negative to say.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket The Skosgo jacket is amazing. It's durable and keeps me dry. It's a great jacket for the wet weather up here in Washington state.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice looking, good location of pockets, durable. I wear this jacket over a mid layer at the beach and it protects me from heavy winds and light mist very well. Its also works good as a stand alone jacket when the temp starts to rise a bit. The assortment and location of pockets is conveniently placed which makes this a well functional for a person who like to hang out the outdoors. This jacket is awesome and it works for me. Yes, I would recommend this jacket.,,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits great, looks good and is functional So, initially I ordered a men's medium and received a women's medium...but, I returned it to the local store here in KC on the Plaza and the guy there with the cool Patagonia hat switched it out no problemo. The jacket is awesome. It's a light rain jacket that you can impregnate with this Greenland wax to enhance the water resistance to your liking...and I think it'll come in handy in New Zealand this summer.
