Runs Extremely Large[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Warm and comfortable jacket however, I had to return. This jacket runs extremely large. For reference, I’m 5’5”, 115 lbs, 32” Bust, Waist 26” Hips 34”. I had purchased the XS based on the size chart, which is my usual size. However, the jacket felt like it was a size medium not an XS. The jacket is not fitted; it’s very relaxed. I could have fit 2 of my arms in 1 sleeve. When I zipped the jacket up, I could have fit another me inside it. If you have a straight slender body type I would recommend sizing: 2 sizes down. I felt like a little kid wearing a parents oversized jacket.

I love this JacketI've been eyeing and saving for this jacket for months. The quality of this jacket is impeccable and as long as don't put it through a shredder, should last *at least* a decade.
This Jacket runs large (I was inbetween an XS and an S, bought the S and it's a little big on me) but that is kind of the point: layering is the best way to stay warm in colder climates, so your heavy jacket will need breathing room when you layer with a heavy sweater. Personally I did not need to layer with this jacket in single digit (F) temps for 30+ min walking the dog, but you may need to if you are camping/hiking for longer periods or colder temps.

Follow Up Review on Small[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just thought I'd give a follow-up review to my last one stating the medium was too big. My wife received the small and it's definitely the right size for her. She typically wears a medium (size 8 is her normal size) or sometimes even a large in jacket brands like Helly Hansen depending on the cut. The small fits and isn't tight at all. Still room to add a full layer and isn't tight in the chest or arms. Sleeves are the right length. This jacket easily runs a full size large.

RAD Woman's Parka Wind/Water Proof![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super Stoked to have purchased this just before Fall, as I live smack on the Ocean-- Wind AND Water PROOF! Although the other reviews said this would be 'bulky to cart around' I have not had this experience, and found I just don't Want to take it off! It is long enough in the body And arms (Yay!!) as I am rather a longish person. Just THANKS to whomever designed a WOMAN'S jacket to withstand the OUTdoors. for Real. It's a size small and I am 5'10" = YES! did not have to send it back...

It’s love with first wear[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I cannot say enough wonderful things about this coat: 1) I’ve wanted a parka that has a gender neutral look since I was a kid and I got it! 2) I wanted a parka and I got it! 3) I wanted lots of pockets and I got them! 4) I wanted a two way zipper and What do you think? YES I got it!! 5) I wanted warmth and I got that too!!! Tested this jacket out on the coldest of days we have had and I could not be happier!! The feel, comfort and craftsmanship of the jacket is THE BEST! Just too pricey, but it’s my once in a lifetime dream cost come true!

Great coat, but runs TWO sizes big![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this coat. It is exactly what I want-- but it is MASSIVE. I am 5' 10" and usually wear a medium to get the length I need. I ordered a small because I read they run big. That was an understatement. This small feels like at least a woman's large. The sleeves are even too long for me and it's really baggy. I am bummed because they simply don't seem to make it in a size that is small enough for a lot of people.

OMG it's so warm[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for some events I have this winter that are outdoors but stationary so I did far too much research on which coat is best and landed on this one. I had one of those events last weekend and this plus a wool base layer kept me warm sitting in windy 7*F weather for hours. I can't imagine a time when this won't be (more than) enough in my everyday life. I saw reviews saying that it runs large. I am between sizes so I bought the smaller size and it's still got plenty of space for layers and sweaters under it.

Super warm![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this last month after reading tons of reviews, hoping to find an ultra warm jacket for Vermont winters. This jacket has amazing pockets, an adjustable hood, totally waterproof and I DO NOT GET COLD AT ALL!!!
Items to note - the zipper is IS fussy (other reviews mentioned this), but i snap it shut instead and have no issues whatsoever. You do NOT need to size up here, it’s true to size with room to layer underneath. You will not need to size up for winter layers.

FJALLRAVEN FIT NOTES All you need is a tape measure! Ask a friend to take your measurements while standing in a straight and relaxed position without shoes. Remember that the tape measure should not be pulled too tight around the body but not be too loose either.
Avoid bulky clothes For the most accurate result, you should be measured wearing only your undergarments or close-fitting clothing, for example, a base layer. It's not a good idea to measure yourself wearing jeans, sweaters or other bulky clothing.
HOW to MEASURE ARM LENGTH: Bend the elbow slightly, then measure from the centre back of the neck, over the shoulder to the elbow, and down to the wrist.
BUST: Measure straight under your arms around your body at the fullest part of your bust.
WAIST: Measure around your waist at the narrowest part.
SEAT: Standing with your feet hip-width apart, measure around your hips at the widest part.
