Product Reviews
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pack I am an in between backpack sizes which is 18in torso so I bought both S/M and M/L. Both fitted comfortably (I think the M/L is a better fit because of the load lifters have better angles). But since the ventilation feels kind of weird and I know that I sweat easily, I had to return them (ended up buying an Osprey Stratos 36). Also, one gripe is the front and side stretch mesh pockets. I felt like they're gonna get holes on them easily because of the thin material used. So, if you ever wanna throw this pack around or do bushwhacking you need to be careful with it or use the raincover to protect the mesh pockets. Anyways, the Gregory Paragon 38L is a light, good looking pack with good strap management and good compartments. It's not for me but I would highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Checks all the boxes had to buy this after I had the 48 out a few times. I love this line of bags due to the lightweight/toughness ratio. This is a strong enough bag to "mistreat" a little, you can sit on it and toss it about and not have to worry about it. Overall a great pack. Have about 400 miles on this, mostly cold weather, long day hikes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The review before me was unfair and unclear I am honestly curious to see what features were missing in the previous review posting made by "RetailEmployeeNotSellingYourStuff". I get that you were unhappy but we must ask you to elaborate before condemning the product. Some people are swayed by reviews and to have your review be vague and strong, it isn't helpful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far a great pack Love Gregory packs there was concern with it missing a easy access water pouch but it was clearly documented it came on the larger packs [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Eh, it does seem to be missing features... Missing Gription lumbar pad and Sidewinder water bottle pocket. the latter is one of my favorite features of larger volume gregory packs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable and lightweight I've taken this around Iceland and into the Grand Canyon. It's very practical, comfortable, and convenient. There's a ton of zippers and places to store gear and supplies. It also comes with a rain fly in case you hit some weather. Totally recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Missing the mark Bummed it's missing some stated features. Still a very nice pack but the water bottle feature was one that swayed me to this pack over others

Size Guide

Gregory Men's Packs

Gregory backpacking packs are available in a size range. Please check the PRODUCT FEATURES and / or SPECIFICATIONS for the torso range measurements of each size of a pack. The steps below are a guide for measuring your torso size.

The hipbelts on Gregory backpacking packs are adjustable to fit a range of sizes. A simple rule of thumb is that the ideal distance between the ends of the hipbelt pads after tightening should be 3 to 5 inches. However, the most important criteria are that the hipbelt wraps clear over the side of your body and that it rests 1 inch above your iliac crest. This allows proper load transfer to your skeletal structure, which maximizes comfort and minimizes energy expenditure.

HOW to MEASURE TORSO SIZE
1. Put your chin to your chest and feel for the big bone protruding on your neck at the top of your spine. That's the C7 vertebra.

2. Feel your hip bone, the top part of this is your iliac crest. Find the spot on your back that is level with the top of this crest.

3. Have someone measure the distance between these two points, following the contours of your spine.
