Durable Water Repellent
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Product Reviews
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks good, sturdy. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really happy with this backpack for work trips and daily use - looks professional enough, it's sturdy and well made, and the laptop sleeve being completely separate from the large compartment is a plus for me for keeping papers from being crushed. It's usable as an overnight bag (laptop, change of clothes, toiletries, jacket), but that pretty much fills it up. The two quarrels I have is that I wish it had one or two more smaller organizational pockets inside, and the shoulder straps are a bit wide on me (but that's fixable with the sternum strap). Overall really happy with it so far, and the dark green color is nice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great casual urban EDC bag I've used it on one trip and it worked out pretty well. The harness and mesh system is pretty bouncy and light so I never got too tired. My complaint is that the top handle is too thin, it really needs padding because there are times when I need to take this off and hold it especially in transit. Alternatively, it would be great to have a side handle. This bag definitely needs use of packing cubes especially for the large inner cavity for access to be efficient. I do love how the angled form of the main compartment allows for extra expansion volume at the top so you could stuff a jacket last minute into it. I don't like the pantyhose like water bottle pocket because its floppy when not used and I don't really think it'll last very long. However it held two standard water bottles and then some without ever falling out, so there is some reasoning to the madness. Picked this over the more practical travel bags because its aesthetic is more casual and less screams there are valuables inside. Love the blue color with different materials and the shiny inner lining. Big pro of this bag is the laptop pocket in the back has a lot of room for larger size laptops or even leaving your laptop in its sleeve. Also this thing fit perfectly under a cramped airplane seat. Would be five stars if they added more padding to top handle (or add side handle), and add waist belt attachment points.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Concerns were gone when I used it. After I ordered this, I had second thoughts. I liked the recycled material but didn't look into the actual design very carefully. When I got it, I was concerned. But then I loaded it with my stuff and picked up a couple ditty bags for carrying cords and accessories and I took it to a trade show. It was great. It held everything I needed and picked up and it was comfortable to wear. My only complaint is that i wish the main compartment was subdivided into more, smaller pockets so I wouldn't need the ditty bags. But it's working very well for me as it is.

Size Guide

Gregory Men's Packs

Gregory backpacking packs are available in a size range. Please check the PRODUCT FEATURES and / or SPECIFICATIONS for the torso range measurements of each size of a pack. The steps below are a guide for measuring your torso size.

The hipbelts on Gregory backpacking packs are adjustable to fit a range of sizes. A simple rule of thumb is that the ideal distance between the ends of the hipbelt pads after tightening should be 3 to 5 inches. However, the most important criteria are that the hipbelt wraps clear over the side of your body and that it rests 1 inch above your iliac crest. This allows proper load transfer to your skeletal structure, which maximizes comfort and minimizes energy expenditure.

1. Put your chin to your chest and feel for the big bone protruding on your neck at the top of your spine. That's the C7 vertebra.

2. Feel your hip bone, the top part of this is your iliac crest. Find the spot on your back that is level with the top of this crest.

3. Have someone measure the distance between these two points, following the contours of your spine.
