Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Backpack Ok... So I'm going to review the Jade 28 pack simply because I believe people need to know how awesome this backpack is and the only other review on this website is what the?? Written perhaps just to get the reward points?!?! Yes its a red backpack, or a blue pack if you choose the other color combo, yes it has a 28 on it, and little drips... wtf?? You know what... its also the most functional, comfortable, well wearing day pack Ive ever used!! The pack comes in three different sizes so make sure you visit gregory's website prior to purchase to find your size to ensure maximum comfort... easy to load, lots of suspension and support.. the Jade pack makes all day hiking a breeze!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great backpack. light, plenty of pocket space, and very comfortable for the long day hikes. this is a very nice backpack. very light and i hardly feel it on my back. it distributes the weight great and adjusting it is simple. plenty of space for food, snacks and water + an extra set of clothes. the two waist pockets fit my iphone and a camera with ease and the side pockets fit 2 spare water bottles each. although the water reservoir pouch easily handles my 100 oz camelbak. perfect for the dayhikes. i did a little comparing with ospreys, gregory, and camelbaks and this came out on top with more space and pockets than the others and it comes with a rainfly too. well designed day pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect pack for light packing on an extended trip I bought this pack for it’s perfect size and awesome fit, I really appreciated the adjustable torso length which made it fit so well I did not really feel the pack on my back over our 10 day hut to hut Alta Via 1 trek. The pack is not too big but big enough to hold everything needed for this type of touring if you choose wisely and leave behind redundant gear. I lived with this pack for our 6 week trip that included many other activities and came away loving it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this pack! It's super lightweight, supremely comfortable and holds a lot of stuff. I have a nice Deuter backpack but wanted something a little smaller and lighter for a recent Oregon hiking trip. The Gregory Jade 28 was perfect! It's light as a feather and supremely comfortable! I used it for day hikes and packed it with a day's worth of water, first-aid kit, binoculars, food, flannel jacket, rain gear, gloves, maps, phone, flashlight, dry socks, etc. -- I've learned to be over prepared. Even with all that, the Gregory felt like a whisper on my back. And being Oregon, I got a chance to try out the rain cover, which was large enough to cover the pack and the jacket cinched to it. As with most packs, the side mesh holder wasn't very functional for accessing my water bottle, but I hooked the bottle to a side strap, which allowed easy access. The waist belt also had a nice, handy pocket for my phone. The pack had plenty of pockets and compartments. I'm 5'6" and 125 pounds and used the size guide to select a small -- perfect for my short-waisted frame.Ordered the blue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So worth it!! Wow! Where do I even begin? This pack is super cute and stylish AND comes with tons of cool pockets and storage space! I recently walked part of the AT for a weekend and this bag had loads of room! It has a really handy rain cover easily accessible from the outside, also I had a handy place to store a snack and cell phone/ map in the waist belt! inside there is room for a water system and plenty of space in both the large and small zippered compartments. ,,,,Overall, excellent bag, I would highly recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from #love this bag Great bag, good storage, great color (red), the rain shield is a plus, nice bag for 2-3 day trips. Fits under seat on airplanes that's a huge plus. Feels good on the back. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Day Pack I use this pack for long day hikes or climbs and am very happy with it. It holds a lot of gear for its size and is still comfortable when fully loaded. It can be a little awkward to load and access your gear at first, but i was able to get used to its unique shape and it no longer bothers me. Also, the waist belt is adjustable enough that I was able to use it through my first and second pregnancy trimesters.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Overall Pack This is a great overall pack. Bought it for my wife as a day pack and she loves it. The harness is very comfortable. The only complaint is that based on how the internal frame pushes the pack away from your back (which gives great airflow) the inside compartment is a little oddly shaped which makes packing some items difficult.

Size Guide

Gregory Women's Packs

Gregory backpacking packs are available in a size range. Please check the PRODUCT FEATURES and / or SPECIFICATIONS for the torso range measurements of each size of a pack. The steps below are a guide for measuring your torso size.

The hipbelts on Gregory backpacking packs are adjustable to fit a range of sizes. A simple rule of thumb is that the ideal distance between the ends of the hipbelt pads after tightening should be 3 to 5 inches. However, the most important criteria are that the hipbelt wraps clear over the side of your body and that it rests 1 inch above your iliac crest. This allows proper load transfer to your skeletal structure, which maximizes comfort and minimizes energy expenditure.

HOW to MEASURE TORSO SIZE
1. Put your chin to your chest and feel for the big bone protruding on your neck at the top of your spine. That's the C7 vertebra.

2. Feel your hip bone, the top part of this is your iliac crest. Find the spot on your back that is level with the top of this crest.

3. Have someone measure the distance between these two points, following the contours of your spine.
