Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Love This chair! I took this chair with me on a trip to Israel. Yes I know it is a backpacking chair. But after many days in the sand on the beaches of Tel Aviv I have no complaints. It packs small. Light weight. Comfortable. Durable. Easy and fast to put together and disassemble and pack up. Of course with it being light weight, it is not going to withstand strong winds if you are not sitting in it. But turn it over when you get up and it stays put. I did not have any problem with it not balancing in the sand. This chair will definitely be going with me as I head out backpacking. It is light enough that I can't imagine not having it from here on out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So convenient! This is my second Helionox One Camp chair that I've purchased, the previous one being at the Vail Go Pro Mountain Games where Helinox had a vendor tent. I am a soccer and a lacrosse mom and these chairs are fantastic. It folds down to a small, compact, very lightweight package, probably 10" long by 6" wide and 6" high. You can easily throw this into a tote bag. It's so much better than the bulky, heavy camp chairs that have to be lugged across several playing fields from your car to your kiddo's game. I'm in the design world and I appreciate well-designed products that make your life easier. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than a log Thought I had to have it, got it, thought I wasted my moulah. Decided to keep it anyways, now I love it. I haven't taken it backpacking, but its been camping in campgrounds, to the beach, in the backyard, in my empty box teardrop camper it's low enough I can sit inside the teardrop. It works everywhere and is so light and small when in the case. No more lugging big chairs in and out anywhere. Will have to get more in case I ever have guests, cause its probably rude to sit in my comfy chair while they just take whats available if they come to my campsite. Easy to put together. PS don't leave it sitting out in wind, it's so light it may blow away

Rated 4 out of 5 by from it is the right tool for the right job very portable, very light weight chair best used for those times you need to walk in your own (music festival for example) or weight and bulk are issues (motorcycle touring). could also be used for a short backpack if the weight is not an issue and hate the outside so much that sitting on a rock or stump isn't an option. while sturdy (look at it rated carrying capacity!) and comfortable enough, assembled it is low to the ground. this can make it a little difficult to stand up, and also does not make it comfortable enough or a good candidate for car camping or similar activities where weight and bulk is not an issue and a full sized portable chair will do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great chair, multiple uses After hiking all day, the last thing I wanted to do was sit on the ground. The Helinox chair is really comfortable, so comfy you don't want to get up to finish setting up camp. I like the fact that it keeps you off the ground and is the perfect height for me when getting up and down. I love the fact that when I stop for 15 minutes or so to take a break, i can put the chair together (in less than a minute) and put my pack in the chair, keeping it off the ground. The other use (which I love) is I use this to prop myself up in my tent. I don't insert the legs into the brackets, and laying the chair on its back I can sit in the chair, in my tent in comfort. Multi usese!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this Chair I bought this chair for my wife. I have the Chair Zero. Love my Zero but the Chair One is more comfortable. I think it is because the Chair One sits higher off the ground and the seat material is firmer. I really like this chair. Very sturdy build and solid frame. I'm 6' 185 and the chair works great for me Only issue (with both chairs) is that the legs sink into the ground.Even in what I would consider firm earth. I'm constantly looking around camp for some rocks, sticks, anything to keep the legs on top of the ground. Even with this issue bringing this chair along for the trip is one luxury I afford myself. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Size does matter! Got a couple of these and I must say they are absolutely fantastic. Got nothing but "wows" when friends saw how small this thing packs down to compared to those massive chairs that can hold a beer in the arm rest. Isn't that what the top of a cooler is for? I can easily strap 2 of these to my Kelty pack frame for a great day hike. I tip I found and use are to place tennis balls on the feet of the chair to keep you from sinking into the sand or soft soil. Overall after sitting in this baby for hours on end, it's a great asset to my gear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome, Lightweight Chair Bought this chair in multicam a few weeks back for a bear hunt in Idaho. After about a week of use in the back country there, I would definitely recommend this chair. It’s very light weight, low profile, and easy to set up. The chair frame practically assembles itself. It’s really comfortable for what it consists of, and made sitting and glassing on hillsides much easier than it would have been without the chair. By far the best folding chair I have ever purchased, and I will get more for general use. My only gripe is with the stuff sack the chair is stored in, and that’s more of a personal preference issue than a matter of functionality or durability. How high off of the ground does this one sit? I know the zero is only 11 inches up so it's a little harder to get in and out of.

Asked by: acpinjax
Hey acpinjax, good question! The bottom of the Chair One is 13.5" off the ground, so it should give you a little more height to make it a little easier getting in and out. I hope this helps!
