Today I went for a short run in 30F snowing. 15 minutes in I got a little hot so I unzipped it midway but kept the hood up to protect my ears. I was totally comfortable. After my run I met up with my husband and kids and was able to hike with them for a half hour before I started feeling a bit cold. I’ve also worn it running during a windy 25F evening and I was totally comfortable. This jacket is buttery soft and has an AMAZING ability to be just warm enough without overheating. And it looks very flattering. I’m getting another one!

I love it for its warmth and its hood that fits quietly under a helmet. it is very sleek and minimal under a ski shell but just as warm as bulky insulator layers. It's perfect for casual wear too. It is my go to & I love it so much... I have three & hubby has two. Gave one to our son & he has it on almost every time I see him. Seriously an amazing piece for the money! I have had mine for a couple of years and they don't pill or snag! The fabric is superior to everything else I have ever had. You need one... or two.

The weight to warmth ratio is epic! The hood fits super well to help block the cold and wind. There is even an elastic drawstring in the hood and bottom of the jacket. I realize it is a bit pricey but will quickly become your favorite jacket. Houdini if you are listening...the only feature I would wish for would be pit zips.

The Power Houdi is the perfect weight for cool and cold weather hikes. It keeps me warm, yet wicks away the sweat on steeper climbs. It's also very soft and comfortable. The other nice feature is its light weight; it's not bulky at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from IF YOU'RE ON THE FENCE JUST DO IT [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So obviously I debated for a long while whether or not I should purchase this, it’s a lot for a fleece hoody? No way, until I tried it on and I thought okay this is pretty great. Now that I've had it for a few months I can easily say this thing is AMAZING, worth every penny! I'm 5'9" and 160ish lbs, and the medium is wonderful. If you're my height or taller, know these sleeves will bring you joy, long enough you can actually use and enjoy them. You can wear it several times without washing it (also encouraged by houdini to lengthen the life of the item), which is very nice for multiple days of skiing or backpacking. It's very warm for its weight, even on a colder day 40s or 50s could be worn alone with a tshirt or baselayer when going on a walk. An extremely well built meant-to-last fleece, that can probably go anywhere or do anything. I definitely won't be going anywhere without it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome hoodie. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this along with the OR Ferrosi hoodie to see which I would like better for backpacking. I ended up keeping them both as they both provide their own benefits and layer really well together! This jacket has really long sleeves and torso which is awesome for us tall people. It’s SO soft and cozy which is important to be after a long day of backpacking, this is my dry cozy layer. I don’t think it would do as well I’m the wind, severe cold, sweaty conditions. Hence where the OR Ferrosi hoodie comes into play- I wear that one when the weather is turning south or I layer them together for ultimate warmth. I personally always run really cold so I love having the 2 layers together, but for most people this one layer would be really warm as well. If it wasn’t so expensive I would buy 2 or 3 more to wear in my everyday wardrobe immediately. 5’9” 130lb size small fits snug but medium might be better if you prefer a loose fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Houdini Power Houdi Houdini makes a truly exceptional Houdi. If you haven't yet, you should own a garment(s) made with Polartec's Power Stretch Pro. The Pro part of the recipe means that it is extremely durable/abrasion resistant and super soft/comfy at the same time. Stretchy and ultra-comfortable. Cords in the hood and waist in a hoodie! The double front zipper is a biggie for me. Fit: this piece is plenty long in sleeves and hem. It is form-fitting in the body. This fit resembles other Euro cuts.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried all kinds of running jackets for cold weather (I'm one of those NDO types). This jacket is IT. It starts me off warm enough to endure the cold but doesn't overheat me even at the end of my run. The hood is snug, and I can zip the jacket up so it covers my cheeks and comes right under my nose. It has inner and outer pockets. I can wear a waterproof shell over it if need be. I LOVE my Power Houdi!
