The Hunter Women's Original Short Gloss Boot are rubber boots for protecting your feet from the soaking wet rains. The Original is 100% rubber and 100% waterproof, so long as you don't let water in from the top. C'mon guys, be reasonable! The shorter length adds a bit more freedom of movement, while still allowing you to tuck your pant legs in to avoid dragging them through puddles. A simple buckle at the side allows you to adjust the fit to your preference and the grippy bottom keeps your feet from slipping on the sidewalks and docks. Glossy is the finish, for a shine that will light up any dreary day.

Product Reviews
Rated 2 out of 5 by from I love the look of these boots. The fit overall is great and they are very comfortable. However, the first time I wore them I wore them with short socks. The back of the boots dug into the back of my calves so badly that I now have two scabs across the backs of my legs from where the boots dug into my skin and quite literally rubbed right off. Note to self: wear tall socks even with the mid-boots, but at this price there should be a way for the tops of the boots NOT to cut into your legs!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Customer Service Ever Y’all, I am beyond blown away by this company! I had bought a pair of boots back in December and for whatever reason the gloss finish began to crack. I reached out to Hunter Boots customer service asking if there was anything I could do to restore them and within a day had a response back stating how sorry they were and that they would ship me a new pair out at NO CHARGE ASAP. I responded asking if I needed to send my old boots back because they mentioned nothing of that and their response was to recycle them. Today marks one week since that interaction and my boots just arrived via UPS. This was the easiest, hassle-free, best customer service experience I have ever had.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from High quality product I purchased a pair of Hunter short gloss rain boots after having gone through a couple pair of less expensive boots purchased elsewhere. I immediately saw an improvement in the quality of the construction and materials. The fit is true to size and they have sufficient room in the calves to be comfortable. I am a big fan of the color 'violet' and have already gotten complements on it. I have only had the chance to wear them a couple of times. They kept my feet dry, were comfortable to walk in and were easy to wash-off once returning home. I am hopeful they will hold up over time! That would change my rating from "good" to "excellent".

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have bought the tall version of the short boot and the short boot, actually lets me drive if you are 5'4 or shorter, get the short boots.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from These boots are cute and comfy and have all the features I loved in my last pair of Hunters. Those ended up cracking after years of use because I squatted so much they kept bending in the same spot. I cut those off and still use them as clogs. I like the gloss finish and the new colors they have added to their line so I got the shorter style in a glossy finish. They look great and don't get bent like the longer ones when I squat down. The only reason I didn't give them an excellent rating is the side buckle. It won't lie flat and gets stuck if I try to pull my jeans over it.Perhaps I am doing something wrong?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these boots! I love these boots. They are well made with quality materials, and are the perfect height for me. The fleece boot liners keep my feet warm and dry and are so comfortable and easy to keep clean. Even though it’s summer, I have worn them on my early morning walks around the woods and large yard of the Virginia mountain cabin at which I’m staying. They have kept my feet dry from the early morning due on tall grass, and protected my ankles from ticks. This winter, they will be perfect to wear for walks along the beach in the cold weather. I’ll just rinse off the sand and then wear them out running errands.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Love the style, don't love having wet feet I bought these boots a little while ago and it's my third pair of Hunter boots. I adore their style and haven't ever purchased another brand of rain boots. I was so disappointed that these boots have begun to leak! My older pair of the same boot in another color has never leaked even though I bought it at least 10 years ago, and I have a hunch their quality has shifted toward the lesser. I am considering purchasing a replacement pair, but they are simply too expensive to buy if they are going to leak within a year or two of purchase when never abused, kept in a climate stable environment, and only worn on the occasions when it rains!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not for me. I had to return as they were too big and it was frustrating not being able to adjust buckle. I normally wear a 7 1/2M or 8M in most brands and bought an 8 but was sloshing around in them and walking awkward as a result. I probably would have exchanged for a 7 if the buckle was better quality and easily functional but felt like I needed to be an engineer to know how it works (no time for that). Decided to order Joules as I noticed my neighbor with a pair…so will see if they are a better fit for me. Chose three stars because I think I am probably pickier than the average person and I recognize there are those that LOVE Hunters so there must be a reason. They are cute!!

Size Guide

Hunter Women's Footwear

SIZE 5 6 7 8 9 10 11
Insole Length 9.1" 9.6" 9.9" 10" 10.6" 10.8" 11.2"
Max Calf Area 14.4" 14.6" 14.9" 15.2" 15.5" 15.8" 16.1"
UK Size 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
EU Size 36 37 38 39 40 / 41 42 43

HOW to MEASURE for FOOT / INSOLE LENGTH
STEP ONE: Stand up straight on a hard surface with your heel against the wall and a piece of blank paper taped to the floor, flush against the wall beneath your foot.

STEP TWO: Mark the longest part of your foot (referred to as heel-to-toe length) on the paper with a pen or pencil. Repeat with the other foot, as right and left sizes may be different.

STEP THREE: Measure the longest part of your foot, taking the measurement from the back of your heel to the end of your big toe. Women should add 6mm to this measurement to allow for movement and room when the boot is used. This combined measurement will be your insole length, which you will find on the size guide above.

HOW to MEASURE CALVES
STEP ONE: To find your calf measurement sit down on a chair with your knee bent at a 90-degree angle and your foot flat on the floor.

STEP TWO: Measure your calf at the widest part without pulling the measuring tape tight.

STEP THREE: Measure both calves. If there is a different in the measurement, Hunter suggests going with the larger measurement when determining a size.

NOTES
The size info in this guide is based on the Hunter Original Tall Boot. Please note Hunter boot styles may vary slightly in size and fit, but not enough that you should alter your ideal size selection.

Hunter recommends measuring your feet and calves while wearing socks that would be worn with the boots.

If you are usually between sizes, Hunter recommends sizing up when selecting a size of their footwear.
