Rated 1 out of 5 by from My Experience I wanted to love this jacket. I love the color (Espresso), the fit, the feel, the look. Its warm and soft. I don't know if I'm the only one but it seems to start to develop snags and holes with just normal casual wear. It seems for the price it would be much more durable. I have an older one thats 12 years old and it doesn't have any problems at all. I called to ask about warranty and they cover it for a year. Mine is 15 months old. I was trying to decide what to rate it because everything else about it I like. I gave it this low rating because I feel the warranty dept. should take them on a case by case basis. It was very expensive and at the rate its deteriorating it will be junk befor too much longer. Just wanted to put in my two cents in case anyone else is having the same problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic, Sporty Wardrobe Essential This is the greatest and most flexible garment in my husband's wardrobe. The first Icebreaker jacket I bought him was 10 years ago, and it still looks great! They last FOREVER. The fabric is miraculously adaptable for so many situations: breathable, comfortable, never stinks from sweating, never itchy, the fabric never pills. Super warm for skiing, breathable while running in a chill. The fit is perfect and flattering (I have the women's version too). Nothing but high praise for this awesome staple jacket!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice! I love the weight! I teach skiing on Mt. Hood in Oregon and we get a lot of wet days. Yes, I have a waterproof/breathable shell but moisture finds its way in. Wool is the answer. Any wool would do but Icebreaker is so comfortable, good looking and easy to care for. This really feels good on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well tailored, cozy, smart looking jacket I bought this for my husband (who has the chilliest home office ever). I have an older version of this jacket and have loved it. He's a medium, and it fits and looks great. He reports that it's very cozy, and he's wearing it all the time. Icebreaker, please make more colors!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Goes with me everywhere I got this jacket last week and love it so far. It’s extremely soft and comfortable. Merino wool from icebreaker never disappoints, it is always buttery soft, but in this case it feels like I’m wearing a soft fleece but with all the benefits of a natural wool fiber. I layer it under my outerwear for chilly morning bike commutes and wear it alone when I’m doing higher intensity activities like splitting wood or general yard work. The investment is high but I am confident the quality and value will last me a long time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very Tight Under Arms I was glad Icebreaker offered another heavy-weight zip up, but find the fit on this uncomfortably tight in key spots. It comes up very high under your arms, so if you're wearing anything substantial underneath, you get bunching. Material is nice and it's very warm. The only other design complaint is that for a heavy weight piece, it would seem to make sense to make the collar higher.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fit and material The fit is perfect for me. I am 6’2”, 185 lbs, 40 inch chest 32 inch waist and I purchased a medium. I have so much trouble finding jackets for men who don’t have beer bellies, but this one is very trim. The weight of the material is also perfect for a mid layer or alone for 3 seasons. I also bought the lighter weight descender for cool season running and that has the exact same fit but lighter weight.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very comfortable not very durable Very disappointed with this jacket. One of the seams is coming apart and it has multiple ladders in it. Only had it 15months and it’s only had light use. I have a version of this jacket that I bought in New Zealand 17 years ago and seams and fabric are still in great condition, just worn at cuffs and hem. This is a massive step down from the original design. Avoid.
