Product Reviews
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb Flannel This purchase included my second and third Lodge Flannel. My absolute favorite wool based flannel. So comfortable with its light weight and the soft feel of the merino. I love the no stink properties. The shirt fits me incredibly well (M @ 6', 175, 40/42" chest). Colors always hold on wool so much better than other materials. My only gripes are the chest pockets are stitched on just a hair higher than other shirts, which may be by design and an extra cuff button for adjustability would be helpful. Obviously not deal-breakers, though. Killer shirts, especially when they're on sale!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Wool Flannel Eva [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is literally the best wool flannel shirt I have ever had. When I put it on there was a single beam of light that lasered down from the heavens and touched softly onto my brow. Upon touching my skin there was a tremendous sound like the whole earth fibrillating and my body started to glow. My vision swam and a voice come out of my throat that was not mine, and it said, “ALL WILL LOVE ME AND DESPAIR!” Sometimes when I am walking through the forest tiny birds will land on my outstretched arms and wood nymphs will coo and giggle from the shadows. They all love the shirt as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tall Guy Approved Being 6’4” and 195 lbs, it’s a chore to find a long sleeve shirt that fits properly in both the body and sleeves. Icebreaker nailed it with the cut of this shirt! The size Large fits my torso and long arms perfectly! The quality is also top notch and should last for years to come.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality, Warmth, and a Tailored Fit! Knew from my other Icebreaker garments--neck warmers, base layers, and caps--that I would be getting an excellent quality wool product, but the item description of this Lodge wool shirt misses its best features: versatile lightweight wool fabric in a smart tailored fit. At 5'11" and 178 lbs., I took a risk with the Medium on this Final Sale item, but I could not be more pleased to have a shirt I can wear three seasons splitting cord wood or out to dinner with my wife and friends. So nice to have a functional work shirt with the tapered cut that does not cheat on broad shoulders and generous sleeve length.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Scratchy I love merino. I love flannel. I love Icebreaker. I was extremely excited for an Icebreaker merino flannel. I wanted so badly to love this shirt. And when I opened it the color is great. The fit is good. But the feel on your skin is terrible. It's scratchy. Itchy like coarse-spun, traditional, skin-irritating wool. I don't have sensitive skin. I probably own two dozen merino garments or varying types (mostly sweaters and base layers) and all of them are soft to the touch. This flannel one is not. I'm sad to say I'll be returning it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality shirt, runs somewhat large [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm 6'1" and 180, and typically wear slim fit dress shirts (e.g., Calvin Klein, Kenneth Cole) with a 16" collar and 34/35 sleeves. I wear a 42 Regular suit, The medium fits me just right except for the collar (more on that below), and I think the body fits like a slim fit size 16 with 34/35 sleeves. However, the collar of the shirt is a little too big given how the rest of the shirt fits. The collar actually measures closer to 17", which isn't that noticeable when the collar is unbuttoned but it does look a tad big in the neck. The shirt hangs nicely and is not baggy, nor is it tight (but then again I don't have a beer gut). You could definitely use this for everyday wear or even casual Fridays (though this shirt works better untucked than tucked). The wool material is not as soft as regular cotton or poly/cotton flannel, but it is not overly harsh or itchy either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finest Wool Outdoorsmen Shirt Available Trout fishing as a young man I wore a Woolrich overshirt when it was colder. This shirt suits me better. Fit, finish and tasteful dressy solid color - black heather, define the shirt. 5'9"/155lbs - Small fits great.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from What a disappointment I loved this shirt for the first week and then a button fell off, and then I washed it. To be clear all of my shirts are wool and I know the right way to wash them. I washed this shirt in cold water, on gentle cycle, hang dried with all my other merino T's and flannels and it got so wrinkled and scrunched up that no amount of steaming and stretching can bring it back to the right length. Meanwhile my other 100% Merino flannels from a different company required no work and still fit like a dream. I'm afraid this will be my last item from Icebreaker.
