The fit and material felt great, and I liked the insulating qualities, so I ordered one myself. The only pitfall is the horrible zipper. It takes a few tries to zip up. My wife thought it was me being lame, but she agreed after trying a few times herself. Not a big factor to return, but I can see it possibly turning into a weak point and the fabric surrounding the zipper slider and insertion pins tearing after X amount of attempts to zip up on a daily basis. I'm 5'-7", 160lb, and the small fits great (slim fit). I only wear it with a tee. Size up if you will layer underneath.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The Zipper. The Zipper I have too many Icebreaker products to count and I love them all. I finally blew too many holes in my old hoodie and purchased this beautiful upgrade. It feels great on, fits perfectly and I love it, but...the zipper. The new design has two way zipper and it sticks. It sticks so badly that you can't unstick it. I returned the first thinking it was just that specific jacket- no, the second one stuck too and had to be returned. I this point I can't replace my favorite hoodie until they fix the zipper problem. Please please go back to a single zipper - there absolutely no need for a dual zipper.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from So good but not super durable This hoodie fits so well, but the sleeves started fraying in less than a year…both sides. It’s a shame, love the fit and feel but for the $$ it should last a lot longer imo.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The zipper I got this replace another icebreaker midweight layer. The fit is good, but the zipper is horrible. It takes multiple tries to get it to zip up and to unzip because of the dual zipper.

The stitching is great, how ever the the material of the two main side pockets is extremely thin and and has started to fray after a few wears. Overall it's a great hoodie. It just needs to be a little more robust

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Classic marred by shortcuts and shortsightedness I love Icebreaker merino wear. I’ve bought and gifted many items over the years. Unfortunately, the brand’s quality has ebbed and flowed. This year’s hoodie, while it thankfully is back to 100% wool unlike the blend of a couple years ago, had a couple extra problems. First, the zipper is too tight, stiff, and cheap for the quality of the wool. It is incredibly hard to line it up, zip and unzip it quickly. It’s finicky. I don’t know if it’s just mine or if it’s the full series for this year, but I would advise decisionmakers not to take short cuts with the zipper. We need something solid, smooth, fluid, and durable. Second, the white sewn-in “icebreaker” brand name on the left sleeve dramatically reduced the value of this black hoodie for me. I don’t spend $180-260 on a hoodie just to walk around in high-contrast advertising. Now I’m left to try to rip it out (tough, as it’s embroidered) or dye it black. No bueno. A black on black embroidered logo would achieve the same purpose but be much more understated and tasteful, ultimately sending a message of higher quality. No logo or brand name at all is also a solid choice. As a consumer who is not so limited by budget, I’d pay more for a product with these serious flaws addressed. I recommend Icebreaker design to the highest standards and best taste. If you do, you’ll find our loyalty and personal recommendations to our friends drive your continued sales. So much in this world cheapens with time — let’s make sure Icebreaker isn’t part of that.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 2 way zipper fail Great color and fit and weight. But after 3 days zipper failed and even a tailor couldn’t fix it. Had to return jacket. There is one review per page that claims zipper is bad. Please change zipper!
