DWR tech

Durable Water Repellent
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Icebreaker MerinoLOFT

Icebreaker MerinoLOFT
MerinoLOFT is lightweight insulation created from premium, ethically-sourced wool fibers. Ten percent of the loft comes from recycled merino offcuts salvaged from the factory floor, while the jackets’ water repellent shell is made from recycled polyester. MerinoLOFT garments are Icebreaker’s warmest-ever jackets, and are ideal for lightweight layering. Icebreaker is using the latest technology to build the next generation of high performance merino.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfy coat when it's cold old Actually this jacket feels so comfortable you won't want to take it off. The look and feel fit well with jeans or dress slacks. I'm 5'9" muscular build (broad shoulders) and usually wear a Large but ended up getting a XL which the Fit Finder recommended, so far, I'm pleased with it. The jacket is very warm, durable and flexible. 30-40 degrees out with a breeze and it doesn't even phase me. There are probably only two things that I might change: I would add an interior pocket and make the zipper a two-way zipper to open it up from the bottom for occasional comfort and access.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Winter / Shoulder Season Jacket If you live in the UK or the PNW, for example, this would be a great all-around jacket for the fall/winter season. It has the benefits of the temperature-regulating Merinoloft insulation; plus it keeps you bone dry, even when it's pouring out. On top of that, it's quite comfortable to wear in general. The hood adjustments work very well, and the cuffs are a huge plus! So if you happen to be looking for a waterproof jacket with a little insulation, look no further.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spendy but oh so worth it I just got this jacket a week ago, and I haven't taken it off. Unbeknownst to me this week was going to be freezing temps every day and night, and luckily this jacket came to play. I usually wear it with a tee, a R1 mid layer and bike commute to work. It's perfect. It's been low 30's every day and I am so comfortable it's unreal. I'm 6'1" and 175lbs and the medium fits well but with close tolerances. Any tighter and/or any shorter sleeves and the jacket wouldn't work. If I went Large I might have been swimming though. tl;dr Spendy, but I seriously wear it every day.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice jacket Quality jacket with clean, classic style. Expecting it to hold up for years to come. However, it’s not quite as warm as I expected. Only comfortable on its own to temps as low as 40 degrees Fahrenheit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My new favorite jacket This jacket is amazing! Fits a little smaller then expected but it’s very flexible so it works great...any condition is no problem up here in WI with this jacket!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket Very light weight, but extremely warm! Went skiing in subzero temps, and it worked like a charm with 150 underlayer.
