Product Reviews

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hole appeared before first wash Fit is great, warmth and wicking is great. Perfect for layering for a run or farm work on cold days. BUT within the SECOND day of wear a hole the size of a pea appeared in the knee, and looks to be a matter of time before it gets bigger, agh. I assume the hole was from me kneeling on the ground weeding. For the cost, fabric should be strong enough to handle this mild wear and tear, especially when layered over top with jeans. I'm shocked a hole appeared after only the first couple uses. I expect this to happen after months or a year of active use, not days.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from These feel different than precious batches [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have worn no other fiber but Merino wool for five years now and icebreaker products have been the majority of my wardrobe. These leggings feel silkier than those of the past making me wonder if the fabric is coated with a polymer coating which in the Superwash process is added after the wool is softened using chlorine because the chlorine is so harsh on the wool fiber. The sustainability report mentions the use or chlorine. I can’t say if I would recommend the product until I know if it has a polymer coating so please disregard my selection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent but tight waistband These 200s are heavenly to sleep in and for around the house. Not a huge fan of the elastic waistband. I’m 5 foot 6 inches 115-8 pounds athletic build and the small was too tight in my waist (just not comfy) the medium was perfect! Waistband hits the top of my hip bones below my bellybutton (I prefer low rise) and they are the perfect! Can’t really see through them. I bet the 175s are nice too but probably very sheer. I have to admit, I ran errands in these legging and just wore a longer top. Never thought I’d love sleep pants this much! The redwood is a beautiful cranberry color

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So comfortable and light feeling I love these pants because they are so light and comfortable even under jeans. They keep you warm and it doesn’t feel like you are wearing extra clothes. I like to wear them under my pants in the winter daily. The last pair I had were great but they wore out in the crotch after a year so I will try to take better care of these and maybe hang dry instead of dryer. I also feel like these aren’t as soft as my last pair but I wonder if they just need to be broken in. They are still soft, just not as soft.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best wool leggings! I love these leggings. They’re great for layering, and are cozy but not too heavy. I wear them hiking but also under dresses and skirts in the winter, and they perform wonderfully in both cases. I think some of their best qualities - apart from the lightweight warmth - are that they retain their shape (proving that not all leggings are made equal and these are at the head of the pack), and they don’t slide around or ride up when layered under pants or socks (even tighter-fitting jeans), which often happens with other base layers. Haven’t worn these in wind or wet conditions yet, so no feedback there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super comfortable base layer This is my favorite base layer to wear under work clothes in cold weather, and under shells for ski touring. I just don't notice it's there - it fits well and it breathes. The legs fit smoothly and yet I can pull the ankles over my calves to fit ski socks, which doesn't work with a lot of my leggings. I wouldn't mind a slightly higher waist as with my curves they sit a little lower than is ideal for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sheer but very good I am 5’4 135lbs and the medium fits me very well, although they are very sheer in the bottom, which is fine for me because they are a base layer. I think the waistband is very flattering, and it isn’t too high or too low. I have a short torso and often legging type pants are too high on me, so I was pleasantly surprised. They are very lightweight and warm, so it is exactly what I wanted! For wool, it is about as non itchy as possible which is nice. I am a cold person so I intend to use them for everyday wear as well as hiking.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Had to exchange sizes but the new one is great! I've been living in these since I got the exchanged size. I started out ordering a small based on my usual size and the recommendation of the iceberaker fit finder. The legs fit but the waistband dug in. The Medium waistband fits just as a waistband should and the legs aren't too baggy which was a concern. I have loved wearing wool a long time, but it seems like all the leggings come mostly in black and I really wanted navy!
