Two BuyI already own this shirt, but I reach for it so often as that I went ahead and bought a second. It's really that good.
I wear it to work (work in a warehouse, where warmth, mobility and comfort are important); it's my go-to ski baselayer; and its simple design means I can wear it out as a regular top on cold days.
The weight is enough to trust on cold days, but not enough to overheat in. I also own a 260 layer which is perfect for long days in cold weather, but I easily overheat in that piece--almost immediately if there is any uphilling (skiing or running). That said, it makes a great resort ski baselayer. The 200 weight, however, is the perfect regulator for my body temp.
Just, my favorite shirt.

Lots of good reasonsI love these thermal tops for many reasons. They keep me comfortable and warm when I keep the temperature set lower in my house to save energy. This weight (and higher) of Icebreaker tops contribute significantly to our energy savings. They are part of the reason that I've gotten to net positive in my home! Of course, I love that these wool tops don't need to be washed as frequently -- no stink, less work, less laundry! They are great for layering and keep me toasty warm. This deep blue color is really nice and can be dressed up by either a sweater or a scarf or a jacket or other complementary top. Plus your wool is what I call a wonder fabric for winter or summer.

Amazing shirt[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the fun stripes. Great addition to my ice breaker wardrobe. Perfect for keeping me warm in winter wearing under sweaters (and adds a little flair under cardigans) and nice to wear on its own in fall/spring. Sizing is a little tight. In ALL other brands (US), I am almost always a small, but I usually need a medium in icebreaker. I accidentally ordered a small in this shirt and washed it before I realized it was a small so was too late to return. It’s a little tight. A medium would have been more comfortable.

Tested on a skating rinkQuality item, comfortable and breathable. Used it for skating (just fun level, not professional), over a t-shirt, then on a bicycle ride back home at ~16 degrees Celsius: both ways were comfortable and productive, neither sweating barrier nor chills. Seams feel comfortable with a stuffed backpack. Can be worn on top or as an underlayer, stretchy, true to size (XS for 5'3"/105 lbs).
One star off only because my previous 200 oasis crewe was twice thicker, thus warmer. This one resembles old basics-level 200 fabric. Still useful, but I intended it to be a winter piece rather than demiseason one based on my previous experience.

Wear it Everyday in MontanaI've owned several of these 200 weight Icebreaker base layer shirts through the years. I love this improved version with underarm gussets. These shirts wear like iron and last a long time, worth the money in my estimation. I am 5' 7", 125 lbs and have very long arms so the large is perfect for me, not too snug and long enough to wear to yoga (our studio is chilly!) I wear these 200 shirts as outer layer garments until they show wear, then they go undercover. Wish they were not made in China is all.

Great base layer[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this base layer for my trip to Peru, which can be very cold in the morning and warm during the day. I wanted something versatile and comfortable that can be worn all day while moving around, and that could be worn multiple days in a row. Icebreaker provides all of this. It is not itchy, it is comfortable and flattering enough to wear as a shirt (one day it got hot and I took off all my other layers). It kept me warm and cool, in that it does a good job of wicking away sweat. It doesn't smell after wearing it a few days. I am 5'4", about 140lbs and a small fits well. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase.

perfect for going between indoors and outThis is the perfect layer to wear under a t-shirt in the fall/winter. The fit is tight enough not to be bulky, while not bunching into armpits or feeling constricted. The fabric is very soft, no itch, the perfect amount of stretch without going baggy. It keeps me warm without getting overheated...goes from outdoors to sitting in a conference room for hours without being too-cold or too-hot. I own a few of these, wear them every day. I think the heather-gray color is my favorite because the fabric seems even softer & loftier than the other colors. Basically perfect other than being costly, but they last for years through many washings so it's a good investment in the longrun.

Every day layer in Midwest winter.I have been wearing Icebreaker layers for many years. I live in WI where the winters are cold and windy. The Icebreaker layers wear well and are very comfortable. I like the variety of colors as well.
