So comfortable![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these about a month ago in preparation for a Scouts BSA trek to Philmont this summer. Since buying them, I've worn them on a few training hikes and a bunch of heavily weighted (30-50 lbs. in my pack) neighborhood rucks. They've been super comfortable and supportive from the first, with a lot of room around the toes for my foot to spread out comfortably. No blister problems at all. And they've been warm and dry even while hiking through mud, standing water, and snow. These are great boots.

Nice Features and Functionality but Lacking Length[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased these because I’ve been having an issue lately with my toes hitting my boots while walking downhill. Many reviews stated these tend to be roomier than other boots because of the KEEN (R) design. That is partially true but my toe problem persists. If I tie my laces tightly enough to keep my feet from drifting toward the boot toe, my feet feel spent from the additional pressure of the tight laces in front. I like many aspects of these boots and they’re comfortable for most applications, but for trail or downhill walking, I’ll need a half size larger.

So far so good[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very pleased so far. I bought these boots for work & have already put them through the ringer. I work on golf courses so it’s always wet feet in the AM & mud from irrigation breaks during the day. I’m around chemicals constantly & theses boots so far have help up remarkably well. It’s a lot of walking & the flex point in these boots has held up. I was concerned when I read reviews about the flex cracking & not holding up. So far they’ve been involved in snow removal, tree removal & daily rigors of the job & have been very comfy & sturdy. Couldn’t be happier. Hope it keeps up,

Great winter boot[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second pair of Keen Ridge Flex boots. Comfortable right out of the box and they required no break in. I have about 350 fall/winter hiking miles on my first pair and they show very little sign of wear. I bought the second pair as a backup just in case Keen decides make some changes...
These boots are great for fall, winter and spring outings when it is cold, snowy, muddy and wet. My feet have always been dry and warm. They are a little heavy but worth it for the comfort factor. I am pretty sure they will be too warm for summer hikes.

Great tread[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] New boot, new ideas! I like it, a lot. Very comfortable. I haven't had a load on them yet, other than me! I'm kind of 'old school', kind of wished for more of a heel, but the soles are extremely grippy. I'm flat footed, but regular Keens fit me well. Great toe box. Seems to be typical excellent Keen quality. Only reason I didn't do 5 stars, there is always a 'durability' question for me. All in all, a great boot. Like the 'bellows' in front, AND the heel!!!

Built to fit human feet[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They are Keens so they are lasted to fit real feet. Excellent support from underfoot to the ankles. Nicely cushioned and lightweight, so that even with sketchy menisci in both knees, I can ruck for a couple of hours with a 35 lb pack. Nicely water resistant and non-slip. Extremely stable, I use them in the weight room as well. Felt great right out of the box. Caveat, they run true to size, but I do think they run wide. 2 months in and I am still satisfied.

First boots for son.[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased for my 11yr old son...his first pair of hiking boots. Tried on several different boots but the other pairs created an unusual gait. We have yet to try them on trails but he has been wearing these around town to break in which really doesn't appear necessary. He has shared they are very comfortable to wear and has not had any issues. I will update if there are any problems on the trail. The cost is definitely more than I wanted to spend for his first pair of boots but the other ones just were not working out.

This is what the Targhee 3 boot should have been[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had numerous pairs of Targhee II shoes and boots. They have always been a secure fit and comfortable out of the box, but with flaws as a serious hiking boot. More of a hiker for mild conditions or walking boot. In came the Targhee 3, this boot of shoe never really fit me properly, heal slippage, quality seemed lacking. Ended up returning both boots and shoes. I almost gave up on Keens after wearing them since their inception. Now there is the Ridge Flex Mid, the fit is super secure, while still giving out of the box comfort, and more stable platform than original Targhee II. The flex works very well for initial comfort. There is stitching around the achilles with 'pillows' that keep the heal very secure without feeling uncomfortable or biting in. Boots still feel more clunky than Targhee II, but also why they feel more stable. Still haven't tested on tougher terrain, but waterproofing and grip in wet conditions has worked well thus far.
