Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed - If i could return this one I would, this is the first pair of Keen shoes i would do that. The tongue of the shoe is attached at the top on the inside of the shoe and creates a "loop" of material that grinds into both sides of your foot and is painful. This wasn't noticed until i wore the shoes for a longer period of time and now have been "worn" and can't return. The others i have bought did not have the tongue attached at the top so it is relaxed and not an issue. I wear my shoes loose and don't tie them super tight and if i did this problem would be worse if you ask me. ITs too bad because i like the styling. NOT Recommend

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ridge Flex I like them, but being I hadn't worn Keens in awhile I suspect that's why the tongue of the shoe hurts the top of my foot.Im not sure but if it continues to be an issue after this stage of break-in I will be reaching out to you (Keen). other than the issue described they are visually aesthetically nice and Im hoping I get more wear and tear on them than my past voyagers where the tread would always seem to peel away from the shoe from not enough adhesive.( seems like I always got a 1-1/1/2 years before replacement-everyday use). Im hoping that issue has been resolved on not just voyagers but all models affected by that. thanks for the opportunity for review. Brian

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good shoe This shoe is very comfortable, a few things to remove the last star one the first while the laces look like they'll last they dont stay tied too well, second im a little worried about the longevity of the rubber flex part at the base of the tongue of the shoe where it looks like where its sewed in will be the first part of the shoe to give, and last the way the tread is put in im already getting a bit of ware (as far as i can tell its a little uneven how the treads are where parts of it are higher then others in the same area). All that being said as long as the rubber part lasts then it is a very good buy

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What happened to Keen's sizing? I was excited to get the Ridge Flex Waterproof Wide shoes. I ordered my normal size of 13 as I thought they would fit perfectly like all of my previous Keen shoes. Sadly these shows felt at least a half size if not full size bigger, meaning longer shoe! I couldn't get them to feel good no matter how tight I tied them. Keen what is happening with your sizing? Earlier this year I ordered some Voyager's and they had the same issue! Normal size was too long in the foot and had to return them. It would be nice if you made a 12.5 but I was always happy with the 13's. Quality has gone downhill.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love the Flex I really like the flexible nature of the bellows. Keen recommended buying a size smaller because they run large, this is marginal. They fit fine in the morning but during a hike or at work my feet grow a bit and this size starts getting tight. The smaller size does not fit my feet just right either i.e. flex point for the ball of my foot. I really didn't find this out until wearing them for a day. I can adjust my sock thickness to compensate but overall should have stayed with my normal size. I like the grip of the sole, it seems softer and grabs better on rocks etc.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lots of potential but too much instep pressure [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought 10.5 regular width as I normally do with hiking shoes and they fit great. The bottom feels very sturdy, overall the shoe seems to be of great quality. Unfortunately, the seam where the rubber Ridge Flex material meets the leather on the top of the shoe digs into my instep rather aggressively. I walked around for a little bit in the store & didn't notice this, but after doing some walking indoors at home it was very noticeable no matter how much I adjusted the fit. It's only happening on my left foot, so maybe my feet sizes are just uneven and this shoe isn't the one for me. But I have noticed a few others comment on this, so if you try them on, do a lot of testing before making the purchase to make sure this unique Ridge Flex feature isn't causing a problem for you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from bad shoes Worst Keen purchase I've ever made. Went for the price and Keen reputation based on passed purchases. Should have bought the Targhee lll's I really wanted. Waterproofing is excellent. Sole wear appears good. Fit and comfort are terrible. Asked rep about sizing and they recommended a 12 reg. which is what I have purchased previously. These fit like a 13! Way too big. Hard to lace comfortably but I finally found a pattern that makes them as comfortable as possible but must constantly retie them while walking. Will try on in store next time rather than buy on line.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mr Bought to supplement the Flex trainers I acquired two weeks previously so confirming how pleased I am with this innovative design: for me, the flex innovation works. Pleased that these shoes fit in a similar. used-to way as traditional Keens and upsizing to 10.5 gives a great spacious fit using the intended thicker socks (for hillwalking). Like the new trainers the shoe protrudes further out around the sole at the heel which takes a bit of getting used to: I’ve scuffed kerbs etc. so need to adjust to prevent tripping up. They’re perfect for intended use - summer season hillwalking (ruined a pair of Targhees when winter walking submerged in mud - couldn’t restore so will use wellies or heavier duty boots in future - want to look after this pair)
