They are my "happy place"After hunting all last season for a pair of walking shoes (with many returns), this spring I finally got smart and went to KEEN. I have had a pair of KEEN winter walking boots for over 10 years now. The soles look like the day I bought them! They still perform and I even put ice cleats on them....
But these NXIS EVO's are truly the best shoe I've ever bought. My feet have become arthritic. I have toes that are curled up so I need lots of toe room as well as good ankle support. These shoes are my "happy place". They fit my orthotics, no problem. I can walk for hours. They are so light too. I'll never buy anything else in future! Thanks KEEN.

Most comfortable boot ever!I recently purchased these Women's NXIS EVO Waterproof Boots for a safari trip, including hiking to see Mountain Gorillas in Uganda. These boots are light-weight, and simply the most comfortable boots I've ever owned. They are flexible throughout, but also supportive. I've been trying them out and there is NO break-in period required. Put them on and go! In terms of sizing, mine fit close to the more traditional stiffer Keen boots that I have. Length is true to size. Width, this boot, probably because it is less stiff, feels a bit looser, but that is not an issue as long as it is tied well. Size: 9.5, normal width.

Too bad you have inserted the pads at the sidesI have owned a pair of very similar Keen boots for several years, and absolutely love them. They are finally wearing out and so I thought I'd order the most similar pair I could find on your site. I noticed several had pads sewn in at the back and knew that would be uncomfortable, so I ordered these. However, you have sewn in pads at the back of the boot, and they rub against my tendons on the sides when I walk in them. This is not good! I have damaged tendons and was so hoping for the wonderful fit and support I've had with my old ones. Why ruin something that is so great? Those pads aren't needed by anyone, and my ankles are really small. I'd hate to think how a bigger person would feel in them. Remove those pads!

Comfortable but not for wider feet or heavy socksThis is my third pair of keens. I ordered these because of the new features seems to put them ahead of the game and comparable to the hoka ones I was looking at. I normally would wear targhee line of boots due to the wider toe box, which I love because my feet are on the wider side, and I love having room for thicker hiking socks or winter socks….which in these I do not have room to do so. KEEN PLEASE START OFFERING WIDE SIZES!!!!! I must say they are light as a feather and seem like they’d be great, unfortunately just not for my feet.

Comfortable NOT waterproofI bought these boots for a working holiday in England, and after wearing them (alternating with another pair of shoes) for 2 months now I have noticed the mesh is lifting off the boot and my feet are often damp. Socks were soaked after going on a walk in wet grass.
Comfortable? Yes. Lightweight and supportive? Also yes. Waterproof? Absolutely not.
I do not feel like the boots should have this much wear after two months, especially for the price I paid.
I recommend to those who are not needing a waterproof boot.

So freakin tinyI ordered these in a W11 and a pair of the Ridge Basin in a W11. These fit like socks, with my toe smashed all the way at the front, crushed by the top material, squeezed at the toe box (I was under the impression these were supposed to be Original Fit, but KEEN does a crap job making that clear on the website). They fit like a full size down and I double checked 16 times that they were the right size. I sent them right back with no interest, or ability, to try again since they didn’t have a larger size.

Snug and lightThese boots are the best of both worlds. Light like a runner and have stability that feels more like a boot. They break in very easily and over time start to fit like a glove. They are much more waterproof than I was expecting. I have stepped in an ankle-deep mud puddle and only felt the slightest bit of dampness that quickly evaporated.
The only downside is the durability. After only half a season*** they have started to develop small tears and the foam outsole is tearing and I have even taken a chunk out of the bottom. The rubber grips have remained in pretty good condition.
***disclaimer - I use these boots for trail work which is probably not what they are designed for based on how they have fared over 2.5 months. However, I appreciate the lightweight feeling of these boots while doing trail work.

DisappointedI bought these shoes excited to start my hiking journey in them this summer. I went for walks almost every day and used them for a hike almost every weekend. Went on a hike this last weekend and slipped and slides on the trail. I looked at the tread on my shoes and realized that the front tread has completely eroded! I can't believe it. I do not drag my fee. I will never buy another pair of keens. Already have to retire these shoes because of the insanely fast wear and tear.
