Comfy but wore down fastI got these for a backpacking trip and they came in two weeks before I went so I could break them in. They worked wonderfully.
When I wore them backpacking they wore down really quickly. The bellows melted on one one of them (which was my fault, they were too close to the fire) but it stayed water proof, so I was impressed.
The sad part is that the soles started ripping off at the end of the trip. We walked 35 miles in rough terrain (which I have done in other keens) and these ones just didn’t hold up.
They’re super comfy though. My toes didn’t slam the tops of my shoes when I went downhill and my feet only hurt due to mileage, not shoe problems.

Unfortunately very uncomfortableBought two pair of keens as i wore out my last pair. Bought the Targhee like i had before, and they are great as usual, but these ridge flex have a lump of fabric where the tongue attached tomthe shoe on top that is so lumpy it rubs very painfully on your foot when walking. It was so bad i only made it a half hour of walking in the house with them on and had to take them off. I had read reviews of others having this issue but thought maybe they would be just fine. Send them back the next day. I just noticed as well that keen received my return 10 days ago but i still havent received a refund to my card, so fyi refunds seem to be taking a long time as well.

Wide, comfortable (except at ankle)Super comfortable in the width - lots of extra toe wiggle space (which I have no issue with as it's better than having toes squeezed). I bought an 8 (usual Keen size) and they fit, but perhaps just a hair large with thicker socks (again, prefer this to too tight - and my heel didn't slip, so I was okay with it). BUT, had to send them back after trying on because the top of the shoe where it hit the front of my ankle was super painful, but just on one foot. I'm not sure if I got a bad pair, or if it's my ankles, but I'm going to try the boot instead to see if that makes them wearable for me because they are super comfortable and I'd love to be able to keep them.

These are Great!Even though they aren't a boot they are definitely not for running because they are a little heavy, but they are the perfect hiking shoe for when you want more ankle mobility and a little bit of lightness. They are super grippy and feel very stable. I think they run wide, but not wide by keen standards - just wide by general shoe standards, keen always has a nice roomy toe box. I wish the bellows flex bit went all the way down the big toe side because there is some bend outwards and creasing that may break down faster right at that spot. Overall very comfy and I'm excited for many more summery hikes with these.

Confessions of a hiking Boot Snob[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hike daily and have an impressive collection of high end hiking boots. I love my new Keen Ridge Flex shoes and have worn them non-stop since they arrived. They are lightweight, great arch support, and have the generous round tioe box that Keen is famous for. I recommend these for anyone who prioritizes comfort and function in their outdoor footwear.

DisappointedSo wanted to embrace this shoe but similar to another review, this is the first Karen I have had that gave me blister upon the first wearing. And no matter what socks I wore or insoles I used, they were uncomfortable. Irritation around the ankle and blisters on the inside of my foot below the arch. I returned them. I would also like to note that on my previous Keen hiking shoes, the fabric at the back of the heel is the first thing to wear out and cause heel blisters, well before any of the rest of the shoe shows any deterioration. Bandaids and/or moleskin helps but this should not happen with a pricy, quality shoe. Otherwise, the hiking shoes are great with a wonderful large toe box.

Phenomenal hiking shoe![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So happy with this purchase! Tried on MANY different brands and styles. Needed a shoe that was waterproof, wider than normal (but not too wide), light, and sturdy. This is it! Wasn't crazy about the ridge on top at first (mud magnet!), but it flexes with your foot and is oh so comfortable. Roomy yet snug. Have logged many miles with dry and happy feet, and am looking forward to many more. Highly recommend!

Walking Right Out Of The BoxJust like all other Keen footwear, this shoe walks right out of the box onto the trail. The shoe is a bit clunky, and definitely fits on the large side. I was very concerned about other reviews mentioning the rubbing on the inside of the shoe as I have an issue with one toe. With the usual Keen wide toe box I have not experienced any of the issues noted by other reviews. I did wonder about getting a size 6.5 rather than my usual size 7, but am quite happy with the 7's. I could put a heavier sock if needed. I have been wearing the shoes on paved city sidewalks, gravel & dirt trails. The shoes perform well and are comfortable. They are equally at home on trails, out shopping, or a casual night out.
