The Kelty Coyote 105 Backpack is a massive pack for spending loads of time on the trail. If you're bringing the kitchen sink plus more, the advanced perimeter frame will help carry it. Remain comfortable during the carry using the FIT-Pro torso adjustment system, then revel in the AMP-Flow vented backpanel. As with other Kelty purchases I've made, this is no exception. The "Fit & Finish" is certainly on the upper echelon of outdoor packs. All seams seem sewn superbly. The Pack-Brain is a great size. I have no complaints thus far. Great pack.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for my husband as he had been using old army packs for way too long, and he really needed something with a better support system and shoulder straps to carry his gear on backpacking/camping trips. We were hesitant about 105L being overkill, but if you know how to pack it's not an issue, and it's easy to make this pack work for shorter or longer trips. For a recent week-long trip, he literally carried nearly ALL our gear (including his large flannel sleeping bag, woobie blanket, 2 hammocks/strap sets, 2 tarps, rope, axe & saw, lantern, clothes, etc.). There are useful outside pockets and as a bonus it's an awesome neutral color. Besides wishing it came with a rain cover, there's not too much this pack is lacking. For this amount of storage, this pack has been a great choice so far.

Plenty of room for those trips lasting more than five days, able to take inflatable raft without sacrificing other comforts.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Spacious [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this pack for a 2 day dry backpacking trip for my wife and I. I knew I would be carrying the most weight between us and needed a big sturdy pack. We like our wants in addition to the essentials so knowing water was key for our trip we also wanted to reward our efforts..lol...with a couple cold ones. Needless to say, the Kelty 105 Coyote lived up to the design. Sturdy, adjustable to my size 6'1" 230 lbs and I jammed over 70lbs of gear into and onto the pack. Not sure how much weight this bag is designed for but it handled the 70lbs effortlessly. Seems and buckles and zippers are quality. The pack was compartments make sense for what to store in each compartment. The hike was a 8 mile out and back to camp with 2300 ft elevation gain and very rocky so the additional stress put on the pack seems with the up and down I am extremely pleased how well the pack maintained and held up. My shoulders and back not so much not to mention my legs...lol...all self inflicted. I would give this pack 5 stars but my only dislike is the padding around the shoulder and waist straps. I definitely believe thicker padding would have made the hike in and out more comfortable. I do think I may have been pushing the weight load designed for this pack and over stressed the padding but packs similar to this by other manufacturers have thicker padding. Overall very pleased I purchased this pack.

My base weight with this pack tops 28 lbs, and I’m 5’ 11” 200lbs. Add in food, water, toiletries, med kit, etc. and it’s easy to top 45 lbs. This is not for the ultra light crowd. I also plan to do a lot of extreme cold weather trips, so the extra space will be used. With all of the storage areas, adjustments, and quality, this is a great pack!
