Product Reviews
Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite trail shoe I've become a confirmed La Sportiva fan because of their fit with my narrow heel/low volume feet which are not a good match with most shoes sold in the US. If you have wide or large volume feet, these are probably not the shoe for you. Started with Ultra Raptors, switched to Akyras because of the aggressive outsole tread which provides excellent traction. I also love the toe and underfoot protection. No complaints with excessive tread wear or durability in general.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Four pairs!! I bought these shoes for the first time a couple of years ago. I am now about to buy my fourth pair! They are fantastically built, durable, and have great ankle support. I have an old fracture in my right ankle. I could feel my ankle get sore when I would run in Cascadias or Assics, but not with these. I average approximately 500 miles of technical trail running per pair, and wear them as everyday shoes too. So, realistically, these shoes are getting well over 1,000 miles each. Anyway, as long as they make these shoes, I will continue to buy nothing else!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Steady in all terrain [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It says something when someone buys something a second time. My first pair was solid over hundreds of miles of New Hampshire granite. Alas, after two seasons in the White Mountains, they began showing their age. It was time. But it was also natural to get another pair. Great traction as I bounded across the summit of the Presidential range (when Mt Washington is called "the old rock pile", that should tell you something) or across dirt trails that were covered with pine needles. These have been my go-to shoes for the warmer months, without question. My only gripe is the sizing isn't consistent with my other shoes. I usually wear about a size 43, but in these, I need to go half a size up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great grip and very durable I have used these shoes on countless hikes and have probably put over 300 miles on them over the 2 years that I've owned them. I do a lot of trail running and ridge scrambling. Only recently have the soles become worn enough that I can't trust the grip for scrambling hikes, but they are still good for trail running.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Shoes I've Ever Owned These are hands down the best shoes I have ever owned. I hiked/backpacked/camped/walked on all different terrains throughout Arizona, Utah, Georgia, Florida, Brazil, Chile, Argentina (Patagonia) with them. I also wear them as everyday shoes/running sometimes. They held up strong for about 2 years. After intense wearing - some of the tread wore down (which is expected). I am on the website right now buying another pair of the exact same shoe. Highly recommend these. They fit pretty true to size, dry quickly when they get wet, strong support, excellent tread/grip for changing terrains. I do also own a pair of hiking boots that I will use when hiking/camping with terrain that has more boulders - to allow for stronger ankle support. But overall, these shoes are a 10 out of 10. Looking forward to breaking in the new pair in Yosemite next week!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hard wearing masterpieces Best Trail running shoe I've ever used. LaSportiva nailed it with durability, foot protection and traction. Amazing shoes for off trail adventure running that hold up well and wear evenly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly Recommend this Trail Shoe. I have tried multiple trail runners and hiking shoes over the years. This is the best combination I have found. It has excellent structure, support, fit and cushioning for a lightweight trail running shoe. I am both a trail runner and a backpacker and this shoe can handle both. I feel like this shoe is way underrated compared to other brands that are more popular in the U.S.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best fitting shoe ever I've been wearing these shoes for a few months now, and I have to say they are the best fitting shoes I have worn for hiking/backpacking, I normally hike with about 35 lbs in a fully loaded pack. I wear a size 43 Eur or a size 10 US, and I am so glad I found these shoes. I have a slightly narrow foot and these are snug around the heal, but still allow for enough room around the toes. I do wish they had a second eyelet, but I expect to see that in a version 2 if/when it comes out. I particularly like the protection the rubber provides my toes because the rocks in Pennsylvania are brutal and I never feel them when I accidentally kick one. When walking 15+ miles a day I am yet to have any hot spots or sore feet from the pointy rocks. I will say they can hold some mud in the heels, but i will probably still buy them again because of how well they fit my feet. I still wish they weren't as expensive as they are which is why I gave them a 4 in value. Overall wonderful product so far.
