Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lycan Great fit w/a long lasting sole that works for semi-non technical trails, fire roads, and pavement from home to the trails. Cushioning lasts up to about 400-500 miles. I’m on my second pair in five months and love them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Trail Shoe! I bought these shoes on a whim, mostly because my previous favorite shoe company now carries a new name. I have high arches and run a street shoe in 10.5. Went with the size US 11 Men's in these and they are very comfortable and stable. The toe box is wide(r) but if you have truly wide feet I'm not suggesting that these are for you. I feel like I have a pretty average width foot as far as my foot watching has provided. My toes splay quite comfortably in these but the first few miles I have experienced some slipping and sliding both side to side and in the heel. However, after a few runs and wearing the Lycans to the office they have adapted to my foot quite nicely. As far as the trail goes, these provide me with everything I need and like in a trail running shoe. They give me the feeling like I'm running a minimalist shoe without the sacrifice. The grip isn't great but it does suffice and the protection underfoot is suitable for the trails I run which are generally compacted dirt, roots and rocks. If you like to run on greasy clay/dirt terrain after the rain, these aren't for you. They remind me a lot of a pair of Montrails I used to have... I think they were Fluid Feel, or something similar. Long retired to following the lawn mower around the yard, they had a very similar toe box, arch and amount of protection. As far and the shoe quality goes, its hard for me to say. Right now I've only ran about 30 or so miles in them but from what I can see they should reach a few hundred well before I see any deterioration but I guess only time will tell. For piece of mind I'll write a really bad review if they start falling apart suddenly. Overall, I will buy them again provided La Sportiva gives me the option. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight with solid arch suppoort Bought these about 1-2 months ago. Run 3-5 times/wk. I had a set of bushido 2’s and loved them. Wanted to try something with a wider toe box. Lycans are it! Really love these and I am getting ready to order another couple pairs. La sportivas run small! Order up 1 whole size. Regularly 8.5 in Solomons so I ordered bushidos in 41.5 (Equivalent to 8.75) and they were tight but manageable. Lycans in 42 (equal to size 9) and they are perfect. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall, a very good shoe. I like this shoe a lot. They have enough stick to shred technical trails, and enough cushion for some shuffling on those long days. There is plenty of room in the toe box, and enough hold to keep your foot in place on those long descents. The fit is small, however, one size up will do the trick. Sadly, these shoes don't drain, or dry very well, so stick to rock hopping. Overall, a very good shoe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bring on the trails! I’ve had these shoes for a few weeks now and they have been a great asset on the trails. I’ve used them on the road too and they are holding up great! Can’t wait to use them on my first trail run this weekend! -Zach

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My everything shoe I use this shoe for everything, walking around town, spontaneous adventures, backpacking, alpine, I never take it off. As soon as my current pair is trashed I'll be purchasing another. American style toe box (wider) is a key feature to this shoe. Upper portion snugs down the volume well, and the lug/rubber is very trust worthy in mixed conditions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from From 12 hour day to a 18 miler run home from work. They go the distance and ask for more, They are the only shoes I ever taught about trying it and they worked .As my income is tight they had to step in. I have easily 1000 plus miles on them. And will get more. They breath well and dry fast. La Sportiva shoes and clothes products has been my go to's for well over 35 years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very comfortable This is not a long term review, I have about 150 miles on these shoes now, and they are great so far. I use them on gravel USFS roads concrete and singletrack trails for running handles great in all conditions so far. Have not tried them on snow or ice yet.
