The La Sportiva Men's Miura VS Shoe is a climbing shoe for sport routes, gym climbing, bouldering, as well as technical face climbing. The Miura VS is everything you love about the original Miura, with an easy on/easy off Velcro closure. The leather upper stretches just enough to conform to your foot while the synthetic lining on the inside controls the amount of stretch. The bottom of the foot is unlined for better awareness against the rock. The high asymmetry allows for better pocket climbing and the XS Edge rubber allows for technical edging. The durable and resistant rubber keeps them going strong. Velcro isn't just for toddlers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top notch durability and performance I recently bought my third pair of Miura Vs (all with resoles) and again I was not disappointed. I needed a new pair of edging shoes for a long term vertical nightmare project and these were perfect! When these were released 20 or so years ago, I was convinced these were the best all around shoe on the market, and no shoe since has changed my mind. Many shoes have come out that are better specialist for certain things (toehooking, comps, super steep, etc), but for all around sport climbing performance and comfort, these are still the best out there. They also hold up for at least 1-2 resoles as long as you don't destroy the rand or shoe too far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review for MIURA VS I ABSOLUTLY LOVE THIS SHOE!!! I was cramming my foot into evolves for the last 2 years ( which are still great shoes, other then you can barely bare the smell of them after a year, right when you blow through the toe) but I couldn't believe how comfortable this shoe it, at least for my foot any way. I have found my climbing shoe brand!! Love LA Sportive!! amazing shoes both ascent shoes and climbing shoes! DONT EVER GET RID OF THE MIURA VS SHOE, LA SPORTIVA!! I will have an emotional and climbing break down. Going to get the solutions next, so I can climb like Jon Siegrist..... hell's yah!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Edging machine! Ive had a few pairs of the Muira VS and have worn the Muira Lace for many years. The Muira VS is a bit stiffer than the lace so its an excellent shoe for tiny edges on vertical to slightly overhanging routes and boulder problems. I like that the shoe keeps its stiffness and shape throughout its life and the velcro make it really easy to take on and off. The shape of the shoe makes it easy to see where you want to place your foot and is built to drive power to the big toe making it one of my favorite Sportiva shoes for a variety of rock types.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review for MIURA VS For the past decade, the Miura has been my favorite shoe. No matter if Im on a techy multi-pitch trad line or a short, power sport route, the Miura has performed admirably. My only minor complaint was the hassle of lacing the shoes for optimal fit. Serendipity would have it that a few years ago La Sportiva launched a new version of the Miura with a Velcro closure systemthe perfect shoe just got better with the Miura VS!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Edging Machine There's still no other shoe than can stand on tiny things like these. Break in takes a bit longer, and is more painful (for me) than other shoes, but totally worth it. I keep 3 pairs so I can always have a pair with fresh edges.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from amazing all the way around This is the only shoe that I will wear if I'm working on routes that I care about. They are wonderful when trying to heel hook or toe hook, and edging in them is easy as well. It is comfortable and high quality. I only had one issue with one pair, which was the rubber on the toe peeled after 6 months, but other than that I haven't had any issues. These shoes are super versatile and I hope I am able to get them far into the future!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Edging beasts [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought these as more aggressive gym/outdoor sport shoe a little over month ago, and have been thrilled with them out of the box! The shoes offer unparalleled edging ability, and the slight downturn helps hook onto small foot placements, as well as stay balanced on overhanging routes. The shoe is on the stiffer side, but this helps drive power down to the toes without loosing support in the shoes structure. The only downside I can see is the smearing ability, the shoe is not geared for this, but the rubber helps make up for this.

La Sportiva footwear is built and offered on European half sizes, which are smaller increments than US half sizes. This gives them four extra sizes per size run, and ultimately gives you a better fit.

As a general rule soft shoes like climbing shoes require a tighter fit, or about two to three sizes smaller than your street shoe size.

La Sportiva recommends you fit your trad climbing shoes one to two sizes under your street shoe size.

La Sportiva offers a lot of lasts, and each offers a different fit and feel. Remember to factor in potential stretching.

Unlined slip-lasted shoes tend to stretch a bit more than lined shoes, or about one full size.

Lined shoes stretch about a half size.

PERFORMANCE FIT - Offers a high performance fit and a downturned last.

TECH FIT - A more technical fit and a last with neutral profile.

COMFORT FIT - A comfortable fit and a last with more volume and a neutral profile.
