Product Reviews
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Chew Chew [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I actually really loved this shoe but I have exceptionally large feet for a woman, I wear a 9.5-10 in regular shoes and I could not get any size of these to fit my feet. I ordered the 40.5 and the 41 and both sizes were way way too small, even keeping the normal toe crunching, pain of climbing shoes in mind... I literally couldn't even stand up in them. i should also mention that I have really long toes which definitely could've been why I couldn't get these to work for me. 41 being the largest size they have for women, I ended up going to a men's shoe that works great for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Beginner Shoe [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started bouldering in November and quickly learned that rental shoes are really not great. I bought these online without having tried on the brand before. I was wearing size 9 Mad Rock rentals and decided to get these in 8.5 (my tennis shoes are 8.5). These are great for me. I feel much more confident wearing these while climbing. The only downside so far is that the heel digs into my Achilles, especially during the first few wears. It is getting better as they break in. Luckily, I can fit some thin running socks in them and they feel fine. Very glad that I got these.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice looking shoe, good features These are nice looking shoes, that I purchased for bouldering. I like that they are lace-ups (so you can control the width/tightness across the front.) And because they are white, they hide chalk dust. As a first time climber I reco that you consider what size to buy. I ordered these a half size up and my toes were still bunched. I'm typically a size 7-7.5W and Initially I ordered a 37.5 and I couldn't even get my foot inside. Then I ordered a 38.5. But, my toes are still bunched, althought hopefully I can stretch them, as I already wore them for a test run (and I don't think I should try to return a used pair of shoes) As I understand: climbing shoes should be snug, but toes should not be scrunched with knuckles bent. FYI: My foot runs a little on the wider side (although standard width shoes always fit me just fine). In retrospect, I wish I had ordered a 39 or a 39.5.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent climbing shoe [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these early/mid June b/c I was due a new pair of climbing shoes, and I also wanted to try a size bigger than my old shoes. I wear a 9.5 in everyday shoes. My old La Sportiva climbing shoes were a couple sizes smaller 7.5. I climb great in them, but I was looking to go up in size for comfort reasons. I ordered a women’s 9 or 40.5 and they have been fantastic the past couple of days on Table Rock in N.C. they were an excellent fit, exactly what I was looking for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for the price! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these shoes about 6 months ago. I've taken them on multiple trips, to Ohio, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Michigan and Mexico. They are my third pair of climbing shoes and are by far my favorite. Comfortable, true to size, and comfortable enough to wear all day on multi pitch routes. They're not super technical, but have just enough to get the job done. When I retire these, I'll either get another pair, or try the TC pro, just out of curiosity. Either way, 5 stars!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for what it is [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this for my wife about 3 months ago. She is newer to climbing, and I wanted to get her a shoe that wasnt to much but more than what most beginner shoes offer. This shoe has been great for her climbing and footwork. Whether that’s the shoes or the power the shoes bring to her mind who knows. Either way they were a great choice and will be an excellent warm up shoe after she moves on to more advanced climbing and more tech shoes. They are stuffed through the whole sole but not rock solid and have a thicker rubber than say most 5.10’s it other shoes come with, which will give the shoe a nice long life as she learns and figures out how she climbs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Starter Shoes For Climbing [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this a few weeks ago when I got tired of renting shoes from the gym and I'd say you get your money's worth. I am fairly new to rock climbing, so I only got half a size down and I don't regret it at all. If you are new to climbing, you should definitely get these.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from First Shoes [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these shoes a month ago and their my first pair. Kind of an impulse buy after a quick bit of researching but so far I like them. The rubber soles are noticeably better than the shoes I was using from my gym— stiffer. I think I should've sized down another size because they weren't too uncomfortable when I first put them on, but since I don't need really aggressive shoes right now I'll just wear them out with that knowledge for next time.

NOTES and FIT INFO
La Sportiva footwear is built and offered on European half sizes, which are smaller increments than US half sizes. This gives them four extra sizes per size run, and ultimately gives you a better fit.

As a general rule soft shoes like climbing shoes require a tighter fit, or about two to three sizes smaller than your street shoe size.

La Sportiva recommends you fit your trad climbing shoes one to two sizes under your street shoe size.

La Sportiva offers a lot of lasts, and each offers a different fit and feel. Remember to factor in potential stretching.

Unlined slip-lasted shoes tend to stretch a bit more than lined shoes, or about one full size.

Lined shoes stretch about a half size.
