The La Sportiva Women's Mantra Pant is a climbing pant that isn't afraid to move. The nylon/spandex blend is durable yet lightweight, allowing for brushes up against the rock while the spandex stretches with every bend and lunge of the knee and leg. The waist lays flat under a harness and the drawcord keeps them from slipping downward for a full day of climbing.

almost awesomeI love everything about these pants except one thing: the elastic waistband is a little too tight for my belly, so they end up rolling down. I’m 5’3”, about 140lbs and I got a medium. It’s usually pretty difficult for me to find pants that fit my bodacious booty, thick thighs, massive calves and short stature ;) I’ve got a little more to love around my waist, so these are a bit too tight in that area. I really wish they would have made the rise a little higher, or wouldn’t have used such a thick elastic waistband. Other than that, the material is super durable, yet stretchy, and I love all of the big pockets. If I would have gotten a size large, I think they would have been way too long and baggy. They would be great for someone with a slimmer waist for sure.

G.O.A.T Pants for climbing...and more!Best pants I have ever owned. I have them in 3 colors. They are comfortable, stretchy, stylish, breathable...and best of all, have huge pockets. I like to do big alpine trad days and the pockets are big enough that I can stick all my snacks, phone, and headlamp in my pockets comfortably and skip the backpack - pretty unheard of for women's pants! I find the waistband plays well with a harness, too. I'm 5'3 125# and the small fits well. I used to only wear them for climbing, but honestly, they are so comfortable and move so well, I also wear them on colder running days more and more frequently because they are quite practical and possibly more comfortable than leggings.

Favorite Climbing Pants to DateI received these in the mail about a week ago and haven't had the chance to climb in them due to quarantine, so here are my first impressions:
Amazing fit- flattering all the way around, not too baggy on the butt
Huge DEEP pockets
Thick and durable material
Love the waistband and drawstring combo, very comfy and doesn't dig in
For size reference: I'm a 27/28 waist and 6ft tall, I ordered a Medium and they fit perfectly. They didn't seem too short just more of an ankle length pant (which I expected for my height) and the elastic cuff at the bottom is not too tight on my leg. If you are looking for climbing pants BUY THESE. These are the best climbing pants I have found over my 8 years of climbing and I will be buying another pair as soon as I can!

Women's pants with pockets!!!I love these pants! They are super comfortable and the cut/fit is amazing. I dislike that many women's climbing and hiking pants are super baggy at the bottom. The straight/narrow leg with the elastic cuff on these is wonderful! The best part is the giant pockets. I can fit my dog's leash in the back one and if I put my hands in the front ones they come a couple inches past my wrists- so functional! So far I've climbed and highlined in these and have yet to find a complaint and when I wear them in town my non-climbing/outdoorsie friends say that they are cute. I'm 5'8 and 155lbs and the medium fits good but slightly baggy. I could also fit into the small. These seem to run on the larger side.

Incredible Pants!I'm 5'8, 120 lbs and I got a size S. They're a little baggy through my legs and the ankle cuffs are a little loose, but I'm able to get a great fit at my waist with the drawstring. I love throwing high heels and have never once felt restricted by these pants. I use them mostly for sport climbing and I've found that the waistbelt is very comfortable under my harness because it doesn't have tons of belt loops and seams like other climbing pants I've owned (and disliked for that main reason). The drawstring closure is also a lot more comfortable than buttons/zippers under a harness. And the pockets are so large and convenient I keep finding excuses to wear these around town! My only complaint is that they're a teensy bit short for me (they hit me about 2 inches above my ankles).

Super great value for function and style! The Mantra pants are amazing! It has taken me so long to find the perfect climbing pant. I have found it and more...these pants are not only climbing pants, but also an all around town pant. The Mantra Pant is the best women's climbing pant out there, with durable material, stretchy fabric, comfortable fit, yet still form-fitting and super functional. I'm on the shorter side, so most pants fit long, but these accommodate my height without the need for a hem, thanks to the cuffed pant legs, which are also so stylish. These pants have it all.

DETAILED reivew, LOVE THESE PANTS!!I need good reviews when it comes to pants because I live in the middle of nowhere and have no place to actually try these on. So I'm gonna get a little detailed with these pants I fell in love with.
ABOUT ME: I'm 5'2 and about 130 lbs right now, and an XSMALL fits perectly. I'm not lean by any means but I'm not bulky either, I'm a more muscular build with a thicker waist but smaller legs. I have such a weird time with pants because what fits my waist is usually too baggy on my legs. But these were AWESOME. I'm mainly a sport climber and a boulderer. A DURABLE pant that doesn't restrict me is VERY important to me. I do a lot of hiking and bushwacking when my dude and I are hunting for boulders in the Alpine, or when I'm on my way to the sport crag. So I need fabric that will stand up to the scrub oak and the rock, but that will also breathe. These pants fit EXACTLY that mold, on the thinner side so they don't feel heavy and bulky, but extremely resistant, durable stretch fabric. I've worn them almost every day for the past three weeks out climbing, scrambling through scrub oak out in the desert, sport climbing. Still look brand spankin' new. I also hate feeling a waistband dig into my sides, which is why I appreciate the very elastic waistband. And the cuffs on the bottom of the pant are a must have for me as well.
FOR COMPARISON: I've owned the La Sportiva KALYMNOS pant, which were mainly a cotton pant and I couldn't pull the xsmall up over my hips, so I had to sell those in the past. I also currently own the Sportiva CHAXI pants (discontinued) and the waistband and sizing was also absurdly off, they fit my waist snugly (still a lil muffin top) in a side MEDIUM, but are still a couple inches long on me so they pile up at my ankle a bit. Weird, but I loved how durable the fabric was that I kept them. Though these were extremely durable, they are not the most breathable, so I wear them on colder days. I've been reading and I think the Rocky Mountain pants are a replacement style for the Chaxis, but I have no idea how they've updated the sizing so I haven't bought a pair. I REALLY want a cotton pair, perhaps the Temple Pant, but I'm nervous to buy them because of the trouble I've have with the waistband sizing in the past.
BACK TO THE MANTRA PANT: I've had some other friends who are the same height but about 15 to 20 lbs smaller than me try these on and they felt the pants were awesome as well. So the elasticity and sizing of these pants is forgiving and versatile. I'm short, so they do pile up a smidge on the bottom of my ankle but not nearly as much as the chaxi pants. I'm definitely going to buy another pair of these, probably the plum/pinks! But I would love to know if anybody can tell me how the waistband of the Temple Pants fit in comparison to the Mantra Pants?

climbing pants! and casual....play and town[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really great pants to climb! The fabric seems strong to stand up to rock rubbing. I took them climbing at 75f or more in the sun, wish they were a tiny bit cooler but I wasn't uncomfortable. Great for the shady side of the rock wall. And beautiful enough to wear around town after the adventure or to the party. The waist band is tight, but fits really great under the harness. I could use to lose my stomach flab and that band lets me know, but also no worries about pulling down the pants as I move all over the rock face. Great pockets, deep for the phone! Love the color!
