The LITHIC 65L Expedition Pack is a big time hauler for backpackers looking to get their feet wet on bigger, longer adventures. Get yourself on the trail for a week or more and air-mesh padding at the shoulders and backpanel will comfortably carry your kitchen, bed, shelter and water along the way. Probably a few snacks and meals too. The 200D nylon construction won't fear the dirt or brush, so trek through tall grass or set it down and gear inside will stay protected. When gray clouds threaten rain, deploy the raincover from the bottom pocket to protect from the onslaught. The mesh quick shove pocket holsters your rain gear, so you can quickly grab them and shield yourself as well. Unloading and loading at camp is a cinch with the easy open main compartment or while on the trail grab specific items via the side panel zipper. Secure the compression straps to bring the load closer to your body and utilize the sternum strap for support in the carry. A built-in safety whistle at the buckle is already close to your mouth to deliver a tweet to alert others when you're in trouble.

City Ruck Perfection[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok hear me out... This is hands down the ultimate city ruck! The side zip is perfect for stuffing fistfulls of groceries while at checkout. An entire 8 roll of toliet paper, no problem! Got 30 cans of green beans for your doomsday bunker, go nuts! You have hip support! You have pockets on those hips! You have a hidden rainfly that doubles as a reusable produce bag. You have a little outlet for your bladder hose (on both sides!) You have dual water bottle pockets!! This thing slaps. Go get yourself one!

I want to like it but, flawed design...[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, and for the price this a good backpack. That said, this is not an expedition level Not an expedition back pack. The side zipper is a flawed design feature that cannot be secured at the top. A full backpack will pressure this zipper and cause the pack to work open from the side. Could be easily fixed. Some of the hardware used is not expedition durable and is overly light weight. All said for the price, this is not a bad bag, just not a great one. Know what you getting.

Solid for the price[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this backpack to let high school students borrow for a backpacking trip to Colorado. I honestly didn't know what to expect since they just came out. I was pleasantly surprised. While it does have some short coming (mainly comfort with heavier loads) it isn't fair to compare it to backpacks 2 or 3 times more expensive. I had a female student wearing this backpack with over 40 pounds and it worked well. Stitching held up great and the only problem we had was the chest buckle popping off the shoulder strap. That was easily fixed and only happened once. It has simplistic storage and probably could use some compression straps on the outside, but again with the price point you can get everything. I probably wouldn't exceed 40-45 pounds in this pack, as I don't know how the stitching would hold, and it begins to sit uncomfortably. We were very careful when putting the packs on and off so that no extra strain was placed on shoulder straps or other parts of the stitching. If you are looking for gear to let others borrow or want to dabble in backpacking without breaking the bank, this pack would work well for you. If you want high quality and superior performance I would look elsewhere.

I don't know about this thing.[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was a good price, but not a good value. The straps and buckles are skimpy and I wouldn't trust it in the wilderness. The weird zip down pocket zips down almost the entire length of the pack and it unzips itself when you release the drawstrings, which are an anomaly themselves. I've had this pack for 2 weeks and I want to like it, but those drawstrings, that weird zipper and the tiny straps and toy buckles are killing it for me. The drawstrings came knotted and tangled up and only tighten on one side because of some weirdly designed toggle system, so one side cinches tight with about a foot of string dangling while the other side won't cinch at all, leaving a half-gaping hole in the top of the main compartment. The compartments are confusing and not practical at all. I think I'd probably go mad if I had to use this pack in the wild. Just navigating thru its many pockets and shortcomings in my warm, dry home while the pack is empty is a challenge I've given up on. I couldn't imagine trying to actually set up camp in the dark while it's raining without just tossing this thing over a cliff and hiking back to the car. I'll be returning it as soon as I can find somebody with a printer to print the return label.

First Pack[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are a lot of negative reviews on this pack, but, overall it's definitely a great starter pack. Lots of space, light-ish, and very adjustable.
