Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very warm, very waterproof I received these gloves as a gift from my wife to replace/update a previous pair of Marmot gloves that were looking a little rough after several Buffalo, NY winters. At first we were both a bit worried that the Exum "small" was enough smaller than the previous "small" gloves that it would be a problem, but in fact it is not. Even though the gloves are very close fitting (allowing for great dexterity) there is no constriction and chilling. We've been having some cold (single digit with minus wind chills) weather lately and the gloves have held their own admirably. I was particularly impressed today when I was dealing with a badly frozen downspout that was like a frozen waterfall down the side of our house, melt water from the top of the roof (sunny up there on a black roof) was cascading down over my gloves while I worked in the cool shade of the house. At one point the shell of the gloves was wet enough to freeze up a bit, but the insides were still toasty warm and dry. Very impressed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Really puzzled!! Have loved the Marmot gloves I had previous to this purchase. These gloves do not keep my hands warm at all. Just went out in 20 degree temperatures and my hands were cold the entire time was outside. Is there a low temperature that they are good till. My previous Marmot gloves were excellent in all colder weather, great skiing and I had them for a very long time.Did I purchase the wrong style?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok glove This is an ok glove. The leather is kind of slick, even after using for four days of skiing. Outside temperature was only 28 degrees and I could start to feel my fingers getting cold. The stitches on the inside of the fingers is not hidden, because of this the edge of the leather is acting as a wick for moisture, I didn’t feel any moisture in the fingers, but I worry that if it is wetter out I will. The cuff needs to be about half an inch longer, it is hard to get your sleeve tucked in because of this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from bomber glove for ice climbing/skiing/everything I have had these gloves for years and they are really solid. I have put them through the ringer ice climbing, mountaineering and skiing in them. I have warn these ski instructing the past year because they offer the warmth and dexterity I need while still holding up to the elements. It is not the warmest glove I have ever warn, but it is perfect 95% of the time and is my glove of choice every day, but the coldest day or two of the season. I like them so much I am buying a second pair because after 4 years of very rough use they have broken down a bit (as to be expected).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Marmot is slipping These gloves replaced an old pair of Marmot Goretex ski gloves. The cold weather performance between these new gloves and my old pair is day and night. I could ski on bitterly cold days with my old gloves. These gloves stop at about 20 degrees. I skied on a 5 degree day and my finger tips went numb in the new ones. The cuff on my old gloves fit over my jackets better. If you love winter sports pass on these gloves.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average Gloves [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these gloves hoping that they would keep my hands warm on ski days in the low 20's, but they were not as warm as I had hoped, especially for the price. Overall, they are still really nice gloves.
