The Marmot Kids' PreCip Eco Comp Jacket is a versatile 3-in-1 layering system that keeps the kiddos dry and warm. The outer shell is a waterproof layer made from recycled ripstop nylon and functions as a rain jacket on its own. The inner jacket is a soft and fluffy midlayer fleece that traps warmth like a champ. They zip together for an integrated system, but they can wear 'em separately to adapt to the seasons as needed.

Marmot DriClime
Marmot DriClime is a mesh composed of two different denier yarns which work together to maximize breathability, prevent condensation and wick moisture. This means you can be as active as you want in the outdoors and remain dry and comfortable.
Durable Water Repellent
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.
Marmot NanoPro
Marmot NanoPro is a super comfortable waterproof/breathable membrane. It is dynamically air permeable, which helps shed excess moisture vapor, keeping you dry and happy.

great jacketGreat jacket, very waterproof, works well for rainy days, warm ski days, and regular school days! Only negative is that the multiple zippers run my daughter's chin when they are all zipped up!

Warm and dry but won’t last more than a seasonJacket is very nice and keeps my kids dry and warm. But after a month it already has a few tears - the fabric doesn’t hold up for very active kids.

Winter jacketThis appears to be a very nice coat (my son hasn't worn it much since it isn't winter yet). We had a version from 2 years ago which my son really liked. This coat has the PreCip rain coat which I'm hoping will be more waterproof than the previous version. The inner fleece coat is very soft. My son is 10years old, 5' 1" and 100 pounds. This coat is slightly large on him but fit him with room to grow.

Thumbs up.My son likes it, keeps him warm during the latest cold snap. I also love the 3-in-1 feature since the weather has been variable and it’s easy for him to only wear the red fleece inside part. I only wish the hood had the same fuzzy lining as the body of the jacket.

Great jacketNice jacket, my seven year old loves it. Nice chunky zippers that he can operate easily. According to him, the liner is fluffy and fuzzy like the kitty.

Good but needs a name tag!So far the quality seems good and the kids love them, but it desperately needs a highly-visible, decent-sized name tag to write at the very least a name if not a phone number. My youngest has already left it on the playground once.

Great multipurpose jacketMy son loves his new jacket and wears the inner fleece piece all the time because it is so cozy. It is a good looking jacket and very functional with the two jackets that can be taken apart and worn separately.

Great jacket![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter loves this jacket. The fleece is very soft and warm and when combined with the jacket she is very warm and dry. Couldn't be happier.
