Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Jacket [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got a good price on this and I'm happy I bought it. I wear it around the house and as a layer outside, but I wouldn't call this a jacket. It's a nice quality fleece but as typically happens with fleece the wind cuts right through it. On a nice 60 degree day it would serve you just fine, but those 50 degree days with a brisk wind might leave you a bit cold if you don't layer appropriately. All in all a great item. I'm 6ft and 175lbs and a solid medium in 95% of Marmot tops, this one included.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from another layer of warmth... purchased this item for the third time and use it as yet another layer to ward off the cold temperature.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for everyday, almost excellent [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have worn this jacket consistently for around a month and a half, around the house, out on hikes, and layered with hard shells. It is a great layer, both over a base layer or under a windproof layer. On its own, it is definitely not wind proof, or even wind resistant. For warmer days, a breeze running through it feels great. On colder days, it needs a windproof layer over it. The pockets are well placed and able to fit even gloved hands fairly easily. The chest pocket has a nice hole running through the back of it to snake headphone wires through, making this jacket great for casual walks with music. The zipper pulls that come with the jacket leave something to be desired, as they are slippery and taper near the tip, so even without gloves they can be difficult to grasp. I purchased aftermarket u-shaped zipper pulls and have had no problems since. Additionally, I added an adjustable elastic cord with toggle running through the waist hem. The hem is hollow all the way around, so this is an easy modification, and it increases the value of the jacket immeasurably in my opinion- I have no idea why there wasn't an elastic hem to begin with.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Slim fit While this is a beautiful jacket, sadly we returned it. Although my husband it very slim, he was not happy with the close fit of this light weight jacket. The medium (his normal size) was uncomfortable over a long sleeve tee. we have returned it for a larger size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from light breathable layer for 60-65F I've got so much performance gear for severe wind, snow and wet conditions. When I'm indoors and it is cool or out and about and it is mild, this is the perfect piece of insulation. Gets a little nippy? Put on a very light windproof shell or vest and it becomes a light to medium insulation layer. Bonus, it is smooth to the touch on your skin when wearing a t-shirt. I have almost an exact Patagonia insulating layer, but because it is a little scratchy on the skin on the arms, the Marmot has now become my favorite. The only wish is that the chest pocket is a little bit larger for my cell phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit, looks awesome, for work and play I’m 6’, 188 lbs, and kept the medium. Sleeves are just right, fit is slim and the piece is stylish enough to wear to work. For activities or to layer with mid-weight base layer I would go with a large. Definitely a 100 weight fleece and very breathable. I ended up getting a second 1/2 zip. Highly recommend it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pointed shoulders Why are the shoulders so pointed at the ends on this!? It looks ridiculous! Wanted to upgrade to the side pockets from last years model but this is going back now. Very disappointed. Mine was manufactured in Vietnam.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not as Warm as Expected Bought this Marmot Drop Line jacket to replace a worn and tattered 14-year-old fleece jacket from Freeport Maine. I've had it three weeks so far in 30-50F Northeast November weather. Observations so far, it's not as warm as I expected. The fleece is quite thin and of fairly low insulative quality. This is a good jacket for sunny 45-55 degree weather with no wind. It's not so good for 35-45 degree cloudy and windy conditions. It fits well and the construction is top-notch. At this price point, it just needs some sort of lightweight lining to stop the wind and assist with retaining body heat.
