Product Reviews
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not at the standards I expected I had a previous Marmot jacket that I had received as a gift and loved it. I decided to order 2 more similar jackets (Estes ii). Unfortunately, the quality is not what I expected. I am not sure if it's because the original one was made in Singapore and these were made in China. Problems: - There are visible unsightly creases at the seams bordering the zippers. - The stitching around the zippers have minute fraying. For the quality and prices of Marmot, this should not be the case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Improvments I have an older Estes jacket that I would have submitted a warranty because the sleeve cuffs were falling apart. Unfortunately I had the jacket embroidered with a logo, voiding the warranty. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the new sleeve cuffs are adjustable and much more comfortable. On the old jacket the breast pocket was a little lower so I could open and close the zipper with one hand. The new pocket placement requires two hands to zip the pocket up. This could change over time as the zipper breaks in. Overall, I love this jacket. It's the perfect weight and windproof enough. I tried on similar jackets from other brands but all were too heavy, more like winter jackets, or too much like a rain jacket. This one is light but not too light and water resistant enough that it could be used in moderate rain or snow. You get more than you pay for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable This jacket has an ideal weight, the closures on the sleeve are efficient and smooth, and I like the overall texture of the material. I'm satisfied with my purchase I may consider getting another one for other family members.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light weight jacket Same style, although different color of one other I purchased, but this one ran long in the sleeves. Still like fabric and style. Love breast pocket!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Comfortable The soft shell is nice but a bit tight around the chest and arms for an xl.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really nice! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this jacket to wear while hiking. I needed it to work with a light daypack and I wanted it lightweight so I could store it as the day warms up. The jacket works great. Very light for cool mornings. Pockets are high so they are useful with pack straps and waist belt. Easily packable. Breathes nicely. I haven’t had it out in the rain yet so I can’t comment on that. Also it’s a nice loose fit because I didn’t want a second skin kinda fit. Very happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket I bought the Scree Pants last winter and loved them. I decided I needed a jacket with the same material, and it has been great! Blocks light winds, breathable, and is a perfect weight for hiking in on cooler days.
