Rated 5 out of 5 by from A do-it-all jacket Light, breathable jacket which can keep you warm down to low 50s. While it doesn't repel water very well however it will dry extremely quickly once wet. I primarily use mine as a layering piece underneath an uninsulated softshell for warmth and to block wind. When not in use, it easily stuffs down to waterbottle size in its right hand pocket. My only complaints regard the hood and fit. They appeared to have removed the clasp that lets you fold the hood. Hence when layering, it awkwardly dangles behind your head. The back of the jacket also fits a little tight. This pulls back the arms and sides of the jacket making it slightly harder to put on. However, it doesn't affect mobility in any way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great year round jacket. I use this all the time. I picked this jacket up last year and I use it all the time. Very light weight, compactable and breathable. The hood is nice and fits nice and snug. The jacket is remarkably warm and wind proof. I've abused this jacket and it looks like it's still new.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic windproof layer that’ll keep you warm Purchased this hoody to use on a 6 week sail along the coast of New Zealand, where temps were not expected to dip below 50 F but where winds would be a constant. I used the hoody as an outer layer on most of the trip from Auckland to Christchurch and it proved to be a perfect wind blocker. It had just enough material to give a bit of insulation as well, keeping me warm even with simply a T-shirt underneath. Paired with a baselayer it was plenty toasty warm for the corder days.I’m 6’5, athletic build at 185 lbs and bought a L, which fit great. Have had this hoody for now a little over a year and it hold up great, with another sailing trip under its belt and plenty walks around town.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A bit different than my first one... Loved my first one for years until the zipper finally gave up the ghost. Bought a second one in 2017 and it seems to be cut a little closer in the body and sleeves. There was enough sleeve volume in the old one to easily put your arms through while wearing a long sleeved shirt, but the slimmer arms of the new one causes the lining to hang up and get pushed downward and through the wrist elastic when you sliding your arms through. Not a problem if wearing a tee shirt. The zipper on the new one hangs up at the curve of the throat, something the old one didn't do until it was a few years old. Still, it's a great in between piece for active pursuits; light, comfortable and warm. I'm 5'6", 140 lbs. and bought a medium.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Change the liner, otherwise great Red is amazing and vibrant. Light, feels good, fits good, just a little warmth. Point docked due high price for a fairly simple piece and the lining. Holy heck the liner. It's some sort of fleece material that is soft, will definitely pill, and will catch on any type of fabric you have on beneath it. Good luck layering this. It seems like they went for a lightweight Arcteryx Atom LT clone and almost nailed it minus this awful liner. If you aren't planning on wearing this over anything substantial or long sleeved (trail running etc.) then you'll love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb winter running jacket This hoody has been my winter running jacket for several years. Hood is especially valuable for quick temperature regulation and I like thin lightweight inner. Used this during summer mountain running as well with the sudden cold fogs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Shell fabric ruined by laundry About to return my third sample of this jacket due to laundry damage. In each case, the first time I put this jacket through my washing machine, on delicates cycle, a whole bunch of threads in the nylon shell have pulled, bunching up the fabric in places. I owned an earlier version of the Ether DriClime Hoody. Had the same problem with the first sample, but the second sample was fine with being laundered. Lasted years before it finally got ripped in a MTB crash. Very sad that the Ether DriClime Hoody is no longer an option for me. This would have been my third generation Marmot windshirt-style product. Love how this product performs, has been a permanent feature of my climbing and hiking kit. Shame this now must end due to delicacy of current nylon shell fabric.
