The Marmot Men's Fordham Jacket is a waterproof down jacket for cold, wet weather endeavours. The classic, rugged look features wide baffles and a zip-off drop hood for warmth. The dual chest pockets compliment the two hand pockets, allowing for plenty of spots to tuck your phone, snacks and extra gloves. The MemBrain® 100% polyester herringbone twill exterior takes on the elements like a pro, keeping not only you dry, but the down insulation tucked inside the baffles dry as well. The water protection doesn't just stop there, the 700 fill power down features down defender, allowing the down itself to resist moisture. The interior cuffs are made with micro fleece for a soft against the skin touch that kicks drafts away and the Velcro® adjustable cuffs on the exterior help seal even more out. Warm and tough for the snows and winds of winter.

Product Reviews
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Feathers out of the pockets like an open artery! The quality of this jacket is very good but there is a poor choice of fleece for the pocket-lining. The zippers are good, as well as the hood. But there are 3 problems. 1- the wrist enclosures are a joke. the velcro doesn't grip. And the inner wrist elastic material grip your wrist so tight that there is no airflow out from your underarms which causing overheating. 2- The fit is too tight. 3- The biggest problem is the fleece material using to line the pockets lets the down spill out all over the place. There is no reason for fleece lined pockets, I dont care for it. Marmot, use better material and makes the seams leak-proof !!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great functionality, but ... Pros: : used in -40C with 2 technical baselayers, but only a shirt for up to -15C : lining feels very comfortable : style is versatile enough to be worn in the office and rugged enough when outdoors Cons: : collar feels tight, to a point where you can't really close them fully when you have a scarf or a neck gaiter on : and as already mentioned by some, down is consistently leaking from the seams particularly from the back and the arms (photo attached). I know it's normal for down-filled jackets to be having this problem, but not if it's only bought within three months and hardly-used on a regular basis.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Almost perfect!3 stars off because of fill leaking 1st want to say, this review lost 3 stars SOLEY TO THE THE FILL COMING OUT! Mostly happy with my purchase, lightweight, super warm. My only issue is the feathers coming out of the jacket. It's not a lot but super noticable and seems to get worse daily. I have had the jacket for 2 weeks now. After the 3rd or 4th use I noticed feathers coming out. This seems to be a quality issue and I am HUGE on quality. With feathers coming out constantly it makes the jacket feel cheap to me and to be of a lower quality. Hopefully it doesn't come out any faster or I'm sure the warmth will go with it. Aren't there ways to make warm jackets without using actual feathers?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket for the price I am 5'9'' 195LBS. 44 chest with athletic build. Finding jackets is very difficult for me as I am between sizes. That being said this jacket fits well in a size LARGE. Not too tight, not too loose. The sleeves are a touch long but with the velcro you are able to sinch so that it holds at the wrist. The jacket falls to the waist which I like. The quality is great, have yet to wear outside, but imagine it will be warm enough for my north east climate. Zipper is smooth, fabric is durable. I bought the Bomber Green/Forest Night and its sharp. This is a classic jacket that will look good years from now. If you are on the fence, buy this jacket. It wont let you down. Outdoorgearlabs had a great review on this jacket as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket! Really good price [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me tell you what I like about this jacket: Warm Stylish Good fit I was going to write what I don't like about it, but honestly, I can't come up with anything...maybe that it's just a little bulky? But, it's a winter Jacket, it should be. This jacket seems to be a direct competitor to Outdoor Research's Whitefish jacket, which I replaced with this jacket. The Whitefish was sized a little strange...too small in the body in a size small, and way too long in the arms in the size medium. Anyway, if you need a non-packable, warm, good looking jacket at a reasonable price...you could do much worse!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm Winter Jacket I've had the jacket for a few weeks now during some of the coldest winter temps in the midwest. It's been a very warm jacket wearing it in 0-15 F temps. Fit is great as well. I'm 6' and 175 pounds and the medium is a good fit. I got the black jacket and I'd rather have an all black rather than the two tone black that it comes in but that's more personal preference. All around great coat for colder winter temps.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good purchase I bought this jacket for my college-aged son who is very picky when it comes to clothes. The jacket has a nice high loft to keep him warm, but didn't make him look like a marshmallow when he had it on. He wished that the jacket had more internal pockets. He also runs warm and said the jacket is actually too hot for him to wear unless it's really cold (in the 20s or below). He is 5'11", 155lbs, and the medium fit him well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm, soft but sturdy, great fit I stand by Marmot as a brand. I love my tent from then, my girlfriend loves her coat, and now I love my Fordham jacket. The cuffs aren’t too tight for me on the inside, in fact their comfortable and slide inside the outer sleeve nicely for covert warmth and capturing heat in the arms. The length is good for me; not too short, but short enough that it doesn’t bunch up when I’m seated for driving, etc. I’m 6’1”, with a medium build, and the Large suits me just fine. A great price for a 700 fill down coat that looks sharp.
