Product Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great jacket I bought the Highlander jacket to replace one very similar Marmot one I had gotten 10 years ago. I love the style and fit. My only and biggest disappointment is the inside pocket, it's very small with a zipper on the upper left and is just large enough for a pair of sunglasses. My older one has two very large inside non zippered pockets that are great for putting mail, gloves, reading glasses and sunglasses in all at the same time. Plus, I'm not sure, but I think that the "Loft" of the Highlander is not as heavy as my other replacement jacket. Other than that, it is a beautifully styled and well fitting jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm even in the Montana winter I recently purchased the Highlander Jacket for a job I had in Montana where I would be outside in 0-10 degree weather for several weeks. This jacket didn't disappoint. It was like wearing a heater. In spite of how warm it is I really like that it isn't hugely puffy, since I am often dealing with gear and don't want to feel enormous and clumsy. One of the things I like the most about the Highlander is that the collar has a decent amount of down so that when zipped up it really keeps you from losing body heat. This is my new go to jacket for winter work and play.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor quality This is my third puffer jacket, first time going with marmot. Size and fit is good, but build construction is poor. After one week and already losing much more down fill than my previous jackets. Stitching quality seems low and I’m skeptical about of jacket’s durability. So much down coming out the seems. Not good

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile Originally ordered the Avant featherless and wasn't satisfied with it's warmth compared to down. It felt clammy. I'm hoping by my next jacket purchase, down can be replaced by man-made. We're unfortunately not there yet. The Highlander just feels warmer, regulates better, and feels lighter. Medium fits my 5'8 162# body well with room for the correct layers. Neck is also taller than most jackets which seals in warmth. Overall, very versatile jacket I wear hiking and around town.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Jacket but fit’s too tight This is a well built, durable jacket but the fit was way too tight for me. I’m 6’4” 225 lbs, 34” waist 47” chest. Typically XL jackets fit but Marmot makes this jacket too tight around the chest/lats. If you have an athletic or muscular frame, this jacket may not be ideal. Going up a size to XXL may solve your problem if you have a larger waist.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fit, Great Value [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Awesome fit for an athletic/slim build. Kept me warm in 20-30 degree weather, and I usually get cold. I tried on plenty of options before I chose this well-rounded jacket. Not too bulky, and the color is awesome. It does occasionally lose feathers, but it's not an issue for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WARM JACKET [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I BOUGHT THIS JACKET IN ANTICIPATION OF THE COLD WEATHER. IT DIDN'T FAIL. IN 20 DEGREE WEATHER IT KEEPS ME WARM. Great quality jacket for the price.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice jacket but... The nylon shell is somewhat transparent. The body is quite long. (I am 6’1”)
