Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb snow pants I live in Northern Ontario where we typically have -25° C weather. I've had the Motion Pants for a month and worn them about 10 times, X-country skiing, tobogganing, snowshoeing, etc. Even though they are not winter pants per se, with long johns they are plenty warm enough, and even though they don't have zippered vents, they breathe and don't overheat. They are rugged and waterproof, and the articulated knees and material allow one to walk freely without too much swishing sound. I am 6'1" at ~185 lbs with a 33" waist: the medium was way too small but the large fits just about right (a touch too long and loose in the legs but for my purposes that is fine).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good all around snow pant This is my second pair of the Motion Pant. Great, lightweight pant that doesn't feel like a garbage bag. Can be a little cool while not moving on colder days, but never a big issue for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for nearly any winter activity I used an earlier version of the Motion Pant for military winter warfare training several years ago.  I liked it back then, and it has only improved.  The Motion Pant is highly water resistant, effective at blocking the wind, yet still breathable.  It is also exceptionally rugged: the material is durable; the seams are soundly stitched; and, the features, like the pockets and belt loops, are well constructed. The built-in gaiters were effective in keeping snow out of bulky ski boots, but I would probably still use traditional gaiters with the Motion Pant for any serious mountaineering.  The belt loops are large enough to accommodate wearing it in conjunction with a riggers belt or a sit harness.  The basic Motion Pant does not have much insulation.  However, that is preferable for any serious outdoorsman who knows to dress in layers and will make it more useful during wet weather in the Fall and Spring.  It is a little pricy but ultimately worth the investment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good fit, warm pants, good value! I have used these pants twice, once when it was 20 and once when it was windy and -5. I was comfortable both times. These pants shed wind very well. I also like the waist adjustment it is quite secure and obviates the need for a belt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pants! Have been using these for a while now. I've stayed perfectly dry under them. They're just a shell, so long johns are a must, but I knew that going in. I do wish they were a bit slimmer, but they are far from too baggy. Ridden so far in Colorado and Idaho. The pants have held up against everything I have thrown at them. They haven't faced any wet spring-type conditions yet though.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not too shabby Ive had this pair of ski pants for about a month. waterproofing is good but not perfect, better than I expected. The only feature I don't like is the ankle seal, it is too big and doesn't fit tightly around my ski boot. It does still work and hasn't left me with snow covered legs yet, however it seems like it could easily slide up in a crash.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just got these but haven't used them yet. Material feels great. I'm 5'11 210lbs with a 38/40 waist and a 32 inseam. I got an XL, the waist is perfect with and Easley adjusted. The inseam was a little too long by about 2 to 3". I like the pants a lot as well as the color and I could have used them as is but decided to have them professionals hemmed by about 2 inches.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fits were off. I actually ordered a L that was too small and an XL that was way too big. My husband is 6'2", and is a 36x34. I had return both. Also, the legs just seemed to wide. Maybe more suited for a snowboarded dude type of guy.
