Rated 5 out of 5 by from my favorite fleece My current favorite jacket. Exactly what I wanted in a lightweight fleece. Fitted so it's not bulky and awkward. Warm, light, breathable-ish. Clean/modern lines mean I can wear on a night out in the town. Much warmer than you'd expect for a thin waffle-weave. I've been wearing it several times a week for the last month, and it works well from 45-60F outside (as low as 40 if you have a hat or it's not windy, as high as 65 if it's not sunny). can leave it on when I get inside without looking strange or getting sweaty right away. No unexpected signs of wear yet. Marmot has become my favorite jacket source, hands down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best waffle (fabric) since Eggos! This jacket has an amazing lightweight waffle fabric that is rhe perfect outer layer over 1 ( or more) inner layers. GREAT for runners in cool to cold (2 inner layers) weather. May be too light for super cold days. For that reason and the cut recommend if buying for running with layers to go up a size.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Basic as a pumpkin spice latte No draw cord. No beard guard. No napoleon pockets. No hood. Very basic but also very light for a fleece. Warmth is similar to a polartec classic fleece but 10-20% lighter and packable. Too much extra material at the waist and mid section. Perfect for a dad bod. Overall not a terrible athletic cut but not as tailored as the competition. 6'3" 185lbs bought size Large.I do love the pack compatible pockets as a huge plus. Would I buy again? ....its a strong maybe but a hard sell at full price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Middle Layer I took this on a 4 day backpacking trip in the Sierras in early August 2018. At roughly 8000 ft, I expected some chilly evenings. The Skyon Jacket was perfect for both the evenings and the early mornings; it breathes well so that I didn't become overly heated while we made breakfast and broke down camp. The only thing I didn't consider is that it is not wind resistant. The jacket is designed in such a way that the bulk of the warm material is separated into a square pattern, with very permeable gaps between the squares. When the wind picked up in the evening as it cooled down, I found myself needing to borrow a windbreaker from my buddy. But it fits very nicely - not to snug and not loose, so it fit well under the windbreaker.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sleeves too long Let me start by saying I love Marmot products. The jackets and backpack I have are great, that’s why I wanted to get this one, but for some reason the sleeves on this jacket looks like they were designed for an orangutan, in other words way too long. I had to return it because there’s no way I would wear it. I still plan on trying other products from Marmot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight but warm I bought this as a Polarfleece alternative and am very pleased with it. It’s a full zip jacket with pockets and was great to travel with on my excursion to a Europe. It’s lightweight and breathable with the right amount of warmth for a chilly plane ride. dressy enough to wear for a causal night out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fleece Jacket! This is an excellent fleece jacket, but I think it's important to know its strengths and weaknesses. It's a nice athletic fit but not too tight, true to size. It feels fairly thick but due to the grid pattern it is very breathable which is both a positive and a negative. It does not perform well as a stand alone jacket since the breathability is such that even the slightest breeze will cut right through, more so than possibly any other layer I've ever worn. That being said I've still worn it as a shoulder season commute to and from the office jacket and been satisfied. It's great around the house if you keep the thermostat low, and it thrives as a mid layer under a shell which is probably it's best use. This could be for cold walks or hikes, or as a mid layer for resort skiing or snowboarding. Overall a great layer. I've worn it regularly for several months and it's holding up just fine!
