Product Reviews
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Initial quality review [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I decided to retire my 10 year old synthetic bag. After research I settled on the Marmot Sawtooth 15. I'm 6'1" and 220lbs and got the regular size. It fit fine. The bag is good quality. Zippers are good and don't readily snag. The hood fits well and I like the zipper on the right to lossen up the fit. I like that it comes with the storage bag. While I have only used it 1 night, I had it down to 28 degrees and was not cold. I did notice a few feathers in the bag and on my clothes but it wasn't really too bad. Also while it does come with a stuff sack, to get it small you'll want a proper compression sack.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from warm, long and wide I live in the north of Sweden and have tested it outdoors in winterclimate down to -22 C at the coldest sofar, it was a bit windy and i didnt sleep in a tent or a shelter so the sleepingbag was exposed to some wind and i was not warm at that temp and conditions, but i wasnt freezing either. At another time i stayed outside in -18c with no wind and i slept only in my underwear and a Exped Synmat 7 and i was just as warm as i would have been at home in my own bed. Im 185 Cm and about 115 kg. so i love the extra space in the bag, downsides? -a few minor, to start with the most unimportiant one, the pocket inside dont fit a modern mobile, and i would like to see a non flexcord in the hood, easily fixed if you dont like the 0riginal one. -All in all, for the prize and quality it´s to my opinion a very good bag, recommend it for sure

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and dry! This bag was ideal on my five day traverse in the North Cascades. Not only was the bag warm and comfy, it held up incredibly well to the sweat, snow, sleet, and general in-a-cloudedness of a typical PNW June trip. Would highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No complaints, saved my life! I have an older version of this model, wish I had the garage zipper, and this saved my life. I stupidly hiked up a mountain side late fall and the temperature dropped to about 0 the first night. I was cold, but in the bag I was warm and slept fine. Shouldn’t climbed the mountain but this bag was amazing

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Durability I bought this item December 2017. This item keeps me warm, however every time I use it feathers are stuck to my clothing and are on the ground from a single use. Over time this makes the bag less warm due to the feathers being taken off after every use. I do not know if there is a fill option where I can replace lost fill when my bag will inevitably start to need this. Overall I enjoy how it keeps me warm but dislike the life durability of the item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sawtooth Long X Wide I bought this bag to take on a scouting high adventure trip - Philmont. So far on our shake down hikes it has performed up to my expectations. I can compress it down small enough to easily fit into tight spaces in my backpack - It compresses down very quickly and can quickly be fluffed for use. I bought the long wide because I like a little more room when sleeping, I am happy with the size. The bag appears to be made well with quality light weight materials.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect size for anyone 6ft tall [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven’t had the chance to use this bag outside yet but I set it up in my living room to test it out with my thermarest apex & Nemo Fillo. It’s the perfect size. Room on the side of my hips for arms to lay comfortably and can be compressed down into medium sea to summit eVent compression sack thanks to the down, which also has the Defender to have the best of both down and synthetic. I upgraded to this bag after a rainy and chillier than forecast trip in August to City of Rocks where temps were in the mid 40s at night and my field and stream 30 bag was basically useless. I know this bag will be warm, this model is tried and true. I trust Marmot

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Durable High Quality [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I guide backpack trips in Yosemite and I use this bag all year round. In the winter I double it up with another 30deg bag. In the summer I unzip it and use it like a quilt. I’ve had it for at least 4 years now and don’t have plans to buy something new One caveat to sleep temperature. I’m a hot sleeper and I can only sleep comfortably in a single base layer In temps over 30deg
