Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not good for climbing Bought hoping it would work. Didn’t. The fit was a bit small (5’8” 140 with wide shoulders and 5’10” wingspan) but although it says it is good for climbing, it didn’t allow enough freedom of movement in the shoulders and the body is way too short to stay in a harness especially with the lack of stretch in the material and tight fit. Looking at measurements, a large wouldn’t have been long enough in the body to overcome this. I like be the color and weight, and I’m sure the full would have been nice and warm, but just not what I needed it to be for active upper body performance. Returned.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great jacket, but... I purchased this jacket to have a non-down option for backcountry skiing. In almost all brands, I wear a small. Unfortunately, this jacket doesn't account for much chest room, let alone wearing anything other than a non-bulky insulating base-layer. The arms are a bit too long, but I'm used to that with my t-rex arms. I opted for this as the other and slightly more stylish featherless hoody looked to be a slimmer cut and didn't have the outside chest pocket. Sadly, I'll need to return this as no amount of breast binding is going to make this happen. If it fit, it looks like it would have been a great jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent jacket This jacket is new to me this fall season. I bought it as an outer layer for the fall and winter, and for throwing on after a cold day on the slopes. It is very warm for such a light piece. Though it's not nearly the lightest puffy on the market, it makes up for it by having a more rugged face fabric and synthetic down that will handle light rain way better than actual down. I'm 5'2" with an athletic build and big shoulders and have a size medium. My only complaint about the fit is that it does feel a tad snug in the shoulders, but I knew a large would swallow me everywhere else. This piece works fine as an outer layer on bluebird days, but is thin enough to become a midlayer underneath a shell if needed. I have yet to be disappointed by Marmot and this piece is no exception. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for all temperatures! I got this as a birthday gift, and i couldn't be more pleased with it. Vegan, super water resistanct, things like dirt and sand just fall off easily. I wore this snow shoeing on mount baker (15 deg) with just a fleece underneath, I was perfectly warm. I can also wear it as a light jacket/windbreaker in 60 deg weather without overheating. Just get it, you'll love it. I am 5'8'', 125 pounds, long arms, and the xsmall fit perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purple Perfect Product is well made-no hanging threads where seams end; zipper alignment is good; smooth up and down, and does not snag; hood is proportionate to coat size (doesn't torque neck when worn and fully zipped). Price is commensurate with quality. Good for layering or as a stand alone. It is a "go to" coat for outdoor enthusiasts

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality! I bought this for my daughter, without trying it on in store. We've always had great luck with Marmot items, and this is no exception. The quality and fit are great. The color was a bit different than we expected (Mallard), but she loves it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Obsessed with this jacket! I am a nature preschool teacher in northern Minnesota, so I am constantly moving around in the woods and was looking for a jacket that felt lightweight but also warm and relatively durable. So far I have found just that in this jacket. I am 5'4" and 130lbs with long arms and this jacket fits me perfectly while also leaving enough room for a thick fleece underneath for added warmth. I also love that it is made of recycled materials and feels just as warm, if not warmer than my previous down jackets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Toasty and warm I bought this right before a snowstorm, so had ample time to wear it. It kept me warm, and the jacket dried fast after getting wet. The hood stays up even without a drawstring. The only thing missing is an inside pocket.
