Product Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved my bacon in the rain! This jacket kept me dry and practically singing through 13 rappels in the rain. You know, Gene Kelly style. I really appreciate the stretch for climbing movement and the small perforations in the pit for venting heat. Absolutely a piece of gear that will accompany me in the mountains in place of other UL layers that I've insisted on in the past. It has the functionality of being a windbreaker while also fending off rain. I need that in the Pacific North Wet!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally a breathable, lightweight rain jacket [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a perfect rain shell to take along backpacking. So lightweight, breathable and completely waterproof. Not only that, but the jacket itself is buttery soft making it extra comfortable. So excited to have finally found the right rainshell for me. I highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Breathable and lightweight This jacket has been amazing so far. I've taken it on 3 hikes during the summer and it holds up amazing. Super breathable and definitely waterproof - breathable even with 2 other layers beneath it. The cinch on the hood makes it secure on my head and hood hasn't fallen off while I have had it up and cinched. My dog also came hiking with me and jumped up toward me a few times when he got excited - no tears or abrasions in the fabric even from his nails. It did get pretty dirty from the hikes and I washed it on a cold cycle inside a delicates bag - came out perfect and I hung to dry. I got the light blue color (the only color they had in my size when I went to buy it) and it is slightly see through since it's so thin. Not a big deal since I'm wearing other layers but something to consider. I also wish that the self-stuff pocket was designed a little different. It's a big mesh pouch and then there's a flap that covers the top to "seal" it off, though I find that it just flops around and sometimes the end of a sleeve flops out. Again, not a deal breaker. I definitely recommend this rain jacket. It's perfect for summertime rain, hiking or walking around town!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this jacket [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this jacket for a planned trip to India that got cancelled by Covid. I need something for rain but hot. I’ve worn it about 3 times here and it has been great. Incredibly light weight. I do wish it had a pocket that it could fold up into and zip for throwing in your backpack. Otherwise it is perfect tho. Great color too. I got the green.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing jacket! The fit is slightly loose, which is great for layering. I love the stretchy fabric and incredibly light weight. The hood is large enough to accommodate a bike helmet. The sleeves are designed to cover part of your hand instead of having tight elastic at the wrists. This makes it easy to access my large sport watch. The tail of the jacket is longer than the front, which is a great feature for hard rain and when cycling. It also stuffs in a pocket easily. It’s my go-to jacket for all outdoor activities.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket! This is a wonderful rain/wind hooded jacket that weighs almost nothing! I don’t mind packing this as it’s practically weightless. Love it! If it had pit zips, it would be perfect.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Durable I purchased this jacket because I walk daily and hike often, frequently in rainy and/or windy conditions. I brushed against a blackberry vine and the jacket tore leaving a big hole (as pictured). I bought this jacket despite the very high price tag because it seemed like just what I needed, but it is not sufficiently durable for the variety of terrain that I travel. I do not recommend. I've had many Marmot products over the years and was surprised and disappointed by this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect all-in-one jacket! I absolutely love this rain jacket. I wanted an all-in-one jacket and this one does it all: totally rainproof, windproof, packable (I actually love that there is no zipper), quiet (had a hard shell wind shell where the material Made so much noise I could hear anything anyone said on the trail). This fits my minimalist lifestyle perfectly. I wear it for everything: running, hiking, shopping. The only thing I’m still working on is to make the good fit perfectly so I can see.
