The Marmot Women's Chelsea Coat is a long coat for the snow-coated asphalt jungle. A 700 fp down-filled jacket with a Marmot MemBrain waterproof/breathable, 2L exterior fabric. The combination protects when the snow is falling and warms when the temps have dropped. Coverage falls just above the knee, making it easy to speed-walk across the street when the little man lights up beyond the way. Tailor the look and warmth level with the help of the removable hood and removable synthetic fur ruff.
Products on Sale are Discontinued Styles or Colors.
Marmot Down Defender
Marmot Down Defender helps prevent down from clumping when exposed to water or moisture. This allows it to keep its loft, which equates to greater insulation. Nothing will stop the specially treated, highly water-resistant down from trapping warm air next to your body.
Marmot NanoPro
Marmot NanoPro is a super comfortable waterproof/breathable membrane. It is dynamically air permeable, which helps shed excess moisture vapor, keeping you dry and happy.

Cozy and warm but has design flawsI love the Chelsea Coat with a few caveats, the most detracting of which is how the collar is designed. I am petite (5'2"/120#) and find that the collar is suffocatingly tight and also too tall -- so tall that when fully zipped, it covers my mouth and nose. Perhaps this is why the coat is almost always shown not fully zipped in photos? It is too tight on me to both wear a scarf and zip the coat fully; it's one or the other (plus having 1/2 my face covered by the collar). As other reviewers have noted, it could also use more interior pockets. If these two issues -- namely the collar -- were corrected, this would be a 5-star must-have winter coat.

Great coat needs more pocketsMy daughter has this coat and I recently purchased one for myself in a different color after many years of having a Montreux. I like this style so much better however I was bummed to find the newer model does not have interior pockets. My daughter's coat does have them & my old coat did too. Was a great spot to store phone, keys, etc.

great jacket with a few flaws[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got the Nori in my usual size. Fits great. The material looks sturdy enough to withstand the elements, the fleece lined pockets are great for the cold. But it could do with at least an internal pocket. Sometimes I carry a credit card and/or my ID on my walk, just in case I need it. With no internal pockets I feel I'll lose them if I carry them in my outer pockets.
Overall, a great jacket for very cold days. Though I haven't had to try it out since winter has been warm, I love the waterproof feature. Also I saw what one reviewer said about the Nori color, stains can show easily. I returned it to get the black color.

Warm and dry from
Warm and dry and cozyA cozy coat that keeps me warm and dry. I chose the red and wondered if it would be too garish, but it's a happy color most welcome in our dark gray Pacific Northwest winter. The coat is nicely designed and well-constructed with attention to detail. Excellent coat!

Love this coat![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this coat for several years and it’s still holding up well! It’s nice and warm and stylish, not super bulky, nicely fitted in the torso but larger in the arms. Not sure if the fit has been updated or not since then. That would be my only complaint - I got a Medium and I wouldn’t fit comfortably in a Small with extra layers in the winter, but the top half of the arms are a littler larger than what I would normally wear. Mine has hidden snaps which I think are more fashionable than the snaps they have now, in my opinion. I would recommend this coat to anyone and will probably get another one if mine ever wears out.

Good for a petite woman and a blizzard[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an awesome coat! We had a blizzard in buffalo and I got to try it out. I was so warm and completely dry. The color is beautiful I got the green just the right color to compliment yiu. I am usually a petite with jackets and the length on the arms was great for me I didn’t have to roll it up like I do with a lot of coats.

FINALLY WARM![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super warm and the hood fits great. I would change nothing other than to give it bigger or more pockets.

Overall a great all-purpose parkaGreat coat. Fits as expected true to size. Plenty warm and I like the soft fleece cuffs to keep the cold from going up the sleeves. Nice that this look can be easily dressed up or down as needed. Just a couple of downsides. The pockets hit a little too high for my preference and I really wish there was at least one internal pocket. The snaps are also really difficult to use, but I mostly just leave them unsnapped and it looks fine.
